I took this photo early this morning at the pontotoc city cemetery..

the emf meter pegged out so I just started shooting..

I think it might have been a tree..

a little creepy either way... I will be going back later to re-shoot with the team.
and also to investigate the area.. I was just on a scouting trip (pre-dawn) today

That is an interesting picture. I see a possible orb on the bottom left, but that might be something else. I think the 'tree' is a tombstone/monument under a tree. I had a similar effect taking pictures in an old cemetery once, the stains and mineral deposits on it had created a misty looking face. I had to go back to check and when I compared the picture to the tombstone I could see how the markings and stains came together to give the illusion of the face in the picture. The sun bounces off those old stones making it look like really weird stuff sometimes. Let us know what you find out when you go back.

stopped by the cemetery on my way through town yesterday.
It is just a tree.. maybe a shadow caused by the light.. it doesnt look that way in full daylight..

Jeff, that's a great picture! Isn't it funny how things can look so different during different times of the day? You had said that you were going to be going back with your team to do more of an investigation. Have you done that yet? And if so...how did it go? I can't wait to hear all about it! Lack of ghost hunting here makes me very anxious to hear about others experiences! [Laughing]

Hi!
I used to be a cemetery hanger-outer, but didn't take pics, I charcoled the headstones. I have a whole bunch still.
It is odd that some headstones seem to take on a life of their own, it amazed me that over time you can almost see a person's face in some stones?
I have done some odd ones, to be sure.
I don't go the cememtery's much anymore and would love to get back into it with my cam also!
Having been a person that could spend a whole day in a cemetery, you do see things from time to time. LOL
I have a thing for cemeterys? It is like I am drawn to them, no pun intended!
The most haunted I ever been in is Woodlawn in Detroit on Woodward and Eight Mile. Also, one of the most noted haunted ones "Gangon" I used to live a mile from and never heard of any hauntings there. It is there but? One of those things!
(((((((((hugs to all))))))))

I don't think that's weird at all. Especially if you get a good feeling from it. It must actually be so relaxing sitting some place so quiet and just being able to play. Plus...they're getting to know you that way...so maybe they'll be more cooperative when you guys do investigate [Wink]

I used to hang out in cemetaries too Peg. That is until the good doctor and his friend dug me up, electrocuted me and got me going again. [Eek Smile]

Just being silly again [Wink] =P

Those are good photos Jeff. You really had me thinking on the one with the tree. It does not look like a tree the way you took that picture.
