In about a week I'm going to California to spend a night on the famous Queen Mary. I really want to go, truly hoping for some kind of "experience", (knowing that I shouldn't expect anything at all; it's just exitement). But then I really don't want to go in FEAR that I will have something happen, or I'll see something, etc. Anyone have interesting experiences or any advice to help me on my pre-Queen Mary jitters?

Britany, don't be frightened of staying aboard the Queen Mary. I visited the ship some years ago, and although I didn't spend the night there, I really would have loved to! I don't recall anything sinister or uncomfortable about the atmosphere. From what I have heard about the Queen Mary's hauntings, the spirits aren't harmful, at least I have never heard or read anything about anyone being hurt by them. It is just a great place to visit, with a chance of encountering a ghost from the ship's past. It would be so terrific to catch a glimpse of one or two of them! Do you plan to take the ghost tour that they offer? I hope that you will be taking your camera. =) If you get any ghostly pictures, we would love to see them after you return.

Have a great trip, and don't let fear spoil your good time. I don't think that you will be in any serious danger of having a problem with the ghosts. Relax, and enjoy!!!

I agree with azspirit, try not to be scared about going. I've not heard anything bad about the ghosts there either. I think it would be a great place to visit!

After I did some reading on the QM, I asked hubby about it. He and his brother worked on it in the early 70's in the service as electricians. They experienced nothing at all.
Curt said she is awsome though, and he even said if I wanted to go, he would gladly go back and visit her.
Just pick me up, will have my bags packed! (jk)
I hear she's beautiful, especially at night with all the lights.
Have fun for me! Only place I seem to be going is Cedar Point, the carousel is supposed to be haunted by the mans wife who carved all the horses. It is said you can see her sometimes at night!

OOOO I can't wait to hear how it goes! The hardest thing to do is to go without having any expectations. Try not to be nervous though...I haven't read all that much about the Queen Mary, but from what I have read...no one has ever really had a bad experience there. Please let us know if you do experience anything. Good luck!

Good news! I am now no longer scared but happier. My mom booked us a first class room and for four nights in a row! ^___^ Now I think I'll be a bit more excited than scared.
