Many people here drive by and probably don't even realize it. This is the house in Tucson where John Dillinger was captured 1n 1934.

Called the Dillinger House it is now a B&B inn.

How interesting. This is where he was arrested and then he later escaped? I've been reading about it on crimelibrary.com but I haven't had the chance to get through all of it yet.

He was sent from here to I think Indiana and that's where he escaped.

The Hotel Congress in downtown Tucson owes it's fame to the fact that two other gang members were staying there when a fire broke out.

Neat picture! I wonder if Dillinger ever stops in for visits these days? [Cool]

I also read that Hotel Congress (built in 1919) was host to John Dillinger at some point. He sure got around Tucson, didn't he? I never knew that!

He's probably too content with the company he keeps in hell. [Laughing]

He may have been to the hotel, but did not stay there according to most accounts nor was he staying at the home where he was captured; some of his gang were staying there and he went there to meet them.
