Sorry I've been absent for so long, everyone. I tend to get distracted by my husband. But then something so noteworthy happens that I have to spring to my computer and type it up. So here it is:
When I was younger...about 11, I guess...my cousin and I used to see strange things in my house, especially in the piano room. There would often be an image of a man standing by the window and items we carefully arranged would get tossed about the room.
We called him Frank. No realy reason. It just seemed to fit. Well, Frank become a sort of friend over the years. He played around the house until I was about 17 years old. His favorite game was to put things in the shower with me, like towels or bottles of lotion from the closet. It was scary but forgiveable....more annoying than anything.
I began to talk to Frank sometimes. He never answered me, but I felt like he was listening. (You're forgiven if you don't believe any of this. I understand.)
Anyway, a few days ago, after no sign of Frank for almost 4 years, I was in the piano room...which is now the computer room. I was sitting around online, talking to a friend, and I leaned back to play with my cockatiel TickTock. While I was looking at the bird, I heard someone whistle behind me. I turned, but there was no one there. I shrugged it off as my imagination and continued with what I was doing.
Well, today, I was in the room next to this one, watching TV, and all of the sudden TickTock began squawking and flapping about his cage. I came in to see what my cats were up to THIS time, but they weren't there. They were in the basement with my mom. So, I opened to door to TickTock's cage an he flew right at me, latching onto my shirt with his feet. He was panting and still flapping his wings. I petted him and put him back in the cage after he calmed down.
After going back to my TV show, I heard another noise in the other room. So I went back in and found a box of odds and ends I keep on a table by the computer thrown onto the floor.
Now, I don't know if there is some logical explanation to all of this, but I would like to believe that Frank came home.
Does anyone else have a house ghost?
