After twenty years in this house catching glimpes in the corner of my eye I finialy saw one of my spooks head on.I was sitting on the john with the door open (no one else up)and this small (child size)figure dressed in white quickly walked through the door into the dinning room.I thought it was my granddaughter so after I was done I started calling her no answer. Then I realized she had a bright pink gown on and she hadn't gotten up yet.I think it was a girl but I'm not sure it was so quick. This house was built in 1898 I wish I could find out more information about this house I do know that there was a fire in the kitchen one time. When my Dad remoled the kitchen he found the scorch marks on the wall.I don't know if anyone died in the fire or even how bad it was.Does anyone know how to go about finding out informatiom on a house? Very kewl. I have not seen any of the spirits head on in my home, but know they are there both from feelings, and photographic evidence. One even talks to me sometimes. I always feel fine with her as she has a soothing motherly voice.

As far as history on a home. The best place I can think of is a you local historians office. Here in NEW YORK, they have one for each county, and they keep records on each home for that county. Unfortunately, I have not made it to my historians office, but want to as my home was built in 1890 +/- one year. I know I have quite a few spirits there, but only two have made contact. The motherly female, and one who I presume was completely evil that I had to "banish" from my home after it started attacking me (pushing me down stairs, "evil" feeling "bear hugs") He was nasty, but gone now. I also have a young girl I hear playing outside sometimes, and have even witnessed our swingset swinging "by its self". That was kinda kewl. [Eek Smile]

Congratulations, Bonnie! [Big Grin] That must have come as quite a surprise! About how long did you see her, do you think?

Wow, I'm so jealous of you folks who live in an 1890's home. =P I too think you'll need to go to the county for records. It's a good place to start, anyhow.

Tim, it sounds like you've had some crazy happenings in your house too. If you ever find out anything in it's history, we'd love to hear about it. =)
