Ok, just got back from CA a few minutes ago...decided to write back to you guys.

Note to anyone who takes the Ghosts and Legends Tour: It's not real. I give them kudos on their great special effects, but you know...it's a kind of disgrace to the ship; and all of its ghosts. The tour guides talk about the hauntings like they're not real, and the special effects you can tell, are fake, if you stand in the right spot. My mom said that it "scares" the ghosts away with the tour and stuff, but I think that with all the stupid things that the people make and whatever is going on, you don't have any time whatsoever to see any kind of paranormal phenomenon.

I liked the tour, I thought it was fun, (I think I was laughing the whole way through) but I think they should just tour around the supposed haunted spots and it would be a heck of a lot more easier to have some kind of encounter with a ghost.
___________

Ok, so now that's over. Let me tell you that just because the tour sucked does not mean nothing happened to me. [Big Grin]

When we were on the tour, we first went into the old 1st class pool area. It was really creepy, and smelled all old and stuffy...and musty. I was standing next to my brother, trying to get a good look around, when I spotted the fressing room curtain, (I think that's what it was--it was a red curtain in the back?). I watched as if something was going to happen, and just as I turned away, the cutrain began to sway in what was an out-of-nowhere wind; then, as if someone was there, they stuck out there arm and struck the cutrain from behind. It was scary and exciting at the same time. We left after the fake ghost appeared, (They made the pool smoke and a visible orb in the haze). Nothing happened after in the tour.

We stayed in room M160, right next to the Brittania Salon, (I think!) where the White Lady had appeared and it was a frequent sighting location, so I was pretty freaked out about that too. The hall was SO long and when we came to our room, you could see through the salon's door. It was night, and after our adventure at Knott's Berry Farm, we picked up our cousins, Krystal and her brother. So when we approached our room, I looked to the salon's double-doors and there was a flash that no one but myself noticed. I decided to say nothing, because Krystal was freaked out and acting like a baby about the ship being haunted, because she encountered a ghost in the pool area a long time ago that she described as a little girl. So I didn't make any kind of remark about the ghost, or that's what I think it was--it could have been the light. ><

My mom says that there was a ghost in the hall because one of those cases with the fire extinguisher was shaking-but it was the ice machine because it was right down the hall, making noises and whatnot-and not to mention that it never stopped.

____________

So that's my story. If I remember anything more, I'll say. ^___^

Hi Britany!

I hope you enjoyed your trip to the Queen Mary. =) Sounds like you had a nice time, despite the fake ghost tour. [Roll Eyes] That's a shame that they put on a 'show', rather than just let people see and feel the places that are said to be haunted. I suppose they felt they had to add something so that folks would feel they're getting their money's worth for the tour. [Roll Eyes]

Were you on the tour when you saw whatever it was make the curtain move? If so, are you sure no one was there doing it? I guess one has to be a little more skeptical than normal since they make attempts during to tour to give people a show. [Sigh]

What type of light did you see in the salon? Was it just a flash?

Thanks for letting us know about your trip!

I'm glad that you had a good time despite the cheesy tour. I was on the Queen Mary once a long, long time ago and it's a beautiful ship. I tried escargot there and if that doesn't qualify as a paranormal experience I don't know what does. [Laughing] Sounds like you had some pretty interesting experiences.
