To make a TV show entry:

click on the calendar[/URL] link (also in the right sidebar on the main page)

click on the date the show is airing

if the form doesn't show up (because there is more than one entry on that day), click on the 'create' link (at the top)

in the first box ('Calendar Text'), type an entry such as "On TV: Haunted Hotels" or something similar - keep it short

then copy and paste the show information into the second box ('Popup Text or URL Link' - which will become a popup when the link on the calendar is clicked)

don't worry about selecting colors, or a start/stop time, since everyone on this board is in a different time zone (hopefully you've put the time and channel info into the Popup Text box!)

Before you enter it, don't forget to choose 'show_reminder' from the dropdown menu (that's what gives it the green background color on the calendar - indicitive of a TV show reminder)

click the 'submit' button

To make a birthday or anniversary entry:

click on the calendar[/URL] link (also in the right sidebar on the main page)

click on the desired date

if the form doesn't show up (because there is more than one entry on that day), click on the 'create' link (at the top)

in the first box ('Calendar Text'), type an entry such as "Birthday: Your Name [& nickname, if applicable]"

nothing needs to go into the second box ('Popup Text or URL Link') and you don't need select colors, or a start/stop time

Before you enter it, choose either 'birthday' or 'anniversary' from the dropdown menu (that's what gives certain types of dates their background color on the calendar)

click the 'submit' button
