James was telling me an interesting story the other day that I thought I would pass on.
The Big Thicket area of East Texas is known for quite a few paranormal phenomenons. One of which is UFO sightings.
James has an acquaintance, a young man in his early 20's, whom I've never met. This particular young man is known in the community as being kinda "spooky" as some of the old timers would say. His family was very poor, not well-educated, perhaps not even literate, just barely scraped by to make ends meet. His brothers, sister, parents and grandparents were all said to be pretty unremarkable.
This fellow is said to have an utterly amazing intellect. As a preschooler, he was known to read and write better than most adults. When asked where he had learned such things, he would reply, "The people in the space-ship came down and showed me how."
Anyway, he was said to have been very consistent in his story, even as a small child. From some of the other incidents James told me about the young man, I would say that he might be slightly autistic. However, this whole space-ship story just knocks me for a loop! He is said to be very reclusive. Normally, I'm pretty skeptical about UFO abductions. I don't doubt that it may happen, just not as frequently as some folks report. However, I've gotta admit the story about this fellow makes me wonder!

What an interesting story, Carrie! It is possible that he might be autistic. Often those people who are turned more inward mentally have a tremendous intellect, they just don't share it much. Perhaps he is coming out of it as he grows older. As far as the alien encounter... children are often telling the truth about such things, just as they do about ghosts. They tell you what they see, no more, and no less. A child may have been attractive to the alien beings because they were more able to communicate with him telepathically, or something? I find that I can place more belief in a story coming from someone like this than I can from many adults who are merely looking for some attention or just perpetrating a hoax for all the wrong reasons. I would guess that this guy is really pretty special.
