Well ladies and gentlemen, We had an amazing weekend! The B&B that we stayed in was awesome. The woman who runs it was so nice, the first thing she did when we got there was sit us down and help us come up with an itinerary for the day.
We had done the tour of the battlefields the first time we were there, so this time we wanted to concentrate on staying in town and checking out anything that was going on there.
It was great because the B&B was so close to the center of town that we parked our car and just walked everywhere. We went on a tour of the Shriver house, which was very interesting...although we weren't allowed to take any pictures =( I have a feeling that we would have gotten some good shots in the attic of that place. We also went to see a lecture from Jim Geddy on Abe Lincoln. BTW this guy looks exactly like Lincoln and gave the lecture as if he was Lincoln..that was very kewl!
We also visited Lincolns Train Musuem. They have this very old kind of ride that you can take. You get into a train car, there's a screen infront of you and it looks like your actually riding on the train. The car even lifts up and shakes around a little as if it were really moving. I got some good pictures in there. It was funny because my husband is more in tune then he thinks. We sat down near the front, we were the only ones in the car....he kept turning around saying that he felt kind of uncomfortable. So out came the camera...from what I can tell from viewing the pictures on the camera itself (digital) I caught orbs in every shot.
The only thing I regret was not getting any pictures of the B&B. We were in and out so much and by the time we had turned in for the night, we were so tired...that I forgot. But I took lots of pictures of everything else. I can't wait to get them downloaded. (I broke the card reader that we had...so I have to wait to get the new one before I can download anything off the camera *gasp*)
Sorry for the length, but I just had to fill you all in!
