Then pics of the B&W house were taken with a point and shoot 35mm film camera. The temp was 70ish degrees and no one was smoking.

The pics of the Brown mansion were taken with a Sony Dsc-F717 digtal camera, all i got were orbs or so called orbs =)

Hello Sinistersimon! Welcome to SpiritKeep! =)

Thank you so much for sharing your photos with us - I'm impressed with your results! I love the ones you got at the black and white house and the moving orb in the Brown Mansion stairwell.

Are these two locations reputed haunts in your area? I'm curious if you have any history on these locations.

I'd also like to include many of your photos in the SpiritKeep Ghost Photo Gallery[/URL], with your blessing, of course. [Wink] Let me know!

Im glad you like =)
the Brown mansion is located in pittsfield illinois, 111 east fayette street . and the Black and White house is located outside of pittsfield , its hard to find, its in the middle of a corn field.
I dont know of any history around the B&W house, we just went there because it looked interesting.
The Brown mansion does have a history. Tim Brown exposed himself to children and reportedly had sex with animals, He was given the choice of enlisting in the army or going to prison for seven years. Rather than taking his punishment, Brown used a copperhead snake to kill himself in one of the upstairs rooms. Brown's nude silhouette can sometimes be seen in the upper left window. Furniture is often reported to be heard during the night, and sobbing is often reported on Saturdays--the day of his death.

and yeah, go ahead and use them in the gallery if you like. =)

In the middle of a cornfield, wow. Well, there definitely seems to be something going on there, as evidenced by your photos! What a strange looking little house too....

The history behind the Brown Mansion is creepy, in more ways than one. [Nerdily Unsure] I checked to see if this house was listed in the National Directory of Haunted Places (William Hauck's book) and was somewhat surprised to find that it's not. I still need to look the pics over more closely, but I think I might be seeing some mist in that cellar pic - to the left of the cobwebs, near the wall. Not sure yet though.

Thanks for allowing us to add these to the photo gallery and keep up the good work in the field! =)
