The day the escape occured I was driving through Florence where the state prison is located. I was stopped by sheriff's deputies and informed of the escape.

The movie "A Killer in the Family" was about the Tisons starring Robert Mitchum playing Gary Tison.

That was interesting.I dont understand however the fact that these nuts were called model any thing..Thats just mental(In my own opinion)I must have een around 8ish years old..But, I dont recall hearing any thing about it over the years..Some people in this world are just insane...and thats just terrible..Ive got a teen and an 11 yr old.Ill be the 1st to admit im scared to death to let them out of my sight.(even 2 go 2 school)

I remember the Tison's escape. I can recall having to drive a company car (Mountain Bell at the time) from Phoenix to Tucson during the manhunt, and I was a bit apprehensive about it. Our carpool manager had warned me to be sure to keep the doors locked, etc., because the company car, with it's logo, etc., might make a good vehicle for them, if they were seeking a change of vehicles. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary that day, but I recall staying extra alert that day, too. These guys were absolutely dreadful!
