It won't hurt to reassure him about this. Does he seem frightened, or is he pretty matter-of-fact about the whole thing?
We have had soooo many people post about paranormal activity in regards to young children. I had a few odd experiences as a child and several other folks on the board have also. It might be the active imagination of a seven year old, or he may really be experiencing something.
I think it might be a good idea to just let him know that these spirits are not trying to hurt him, they are just trying to find someone who can understand them. If he really is frightened, I would not share the pictures or any information you find with him, at least until he is older.
I tried this with my nephew a while back and it did seem to work. He had been "seeing" and "talking" to "people" in my former home and was pretty darn convincing that something was indeed happening. It got to the point he was afraid to nap at my house. I filled a squirt bottle with water and a lavender scented oil. At nap time, we explained to the ghost that he was upsetting Caleb and we would appreciate it if he did not make himself known while Caleb was visiting. We squirted the room with "Ghost-be-Gone" and he felt much more comfortable taking a nap. I let him keep the bottle with him to squirt again if he felt frightened. Caleb was not afraid to take naps after that, although we grownups did have a few bizarre occurances afterwards. Good luck with this, and let us know how it goes!
