Was watching an episode of A/E's City Confidential yesterday which featured the story about Ken McElroy who terrorized the small town of Skidmore, Missouri and was gunned down by townspeople who got fed up with him.

I first heard about this on either 60 minutes or 20/20 just a few years after it happened and saw the TV movie with Brian Denehey "In Broad Daylight" which was based on the book of the same name.

I'm not even sure what to think of this...whether to agree with the townspeople's actions or not. I'm not sure what other option they had. =( The law enforcment there was obviously corrupt on one way or another. I don't think that what they did was right. Killing someone is never right. Although I honestly cannot think of what else they could have done to get McElroy out of that town and quick. It is unfortunate that things ended up they way that they did.

Ken McElroy got just what he deserved as far as I am concerned.
