Something has been bugging me for a while, can ghosts stalk people? I've heard of Spiritual Protectors (one has saved me twice) but can an entity actually follow a person everywhere? Twice I have seen a big black shadow outside of my window or following me. I know it doesn't like me and I'm pretty sure tried to "do me in." I was playing basketball on the street one night when my ball rolled to the edge of a 5 foot drop. I went to pick up my ball when a voice whispered in my ear "run." If there's one thing I know, it's do what the spirit tells you. I grab my ball and run. As I begin to run, I feel a hand try to grab my shoulder and pull me back. If I hadn't run, I feel as though I wouldn't be here typing this today. I feel as though I would have gone over the edge head first breaking my neck. Anyway, I feel like the Spirit that protects me (which by the way has actually thrown me out of the way of a moving car) does it's best to keep the bad spirit away but I don't think it will be able to do that forever. I've seen both spirits through my window but right now, I'm scared ****less. Any advice? Can Spirits really stalk people?

It sounds to me that your guardian angel is protecting you.
How often does this happen that you feel something is trying to put you in harms way?
I am just feeling that it could be yourself putting you in hazardous postitions and your angel saving you from yourself.
The only reason I am saying this is I am the super klutz of all time, and I know that I have at times in my life made stupid decisions and I know my angel saved me from myself?

I would never under any circumstance put myself in harms way unless I got into a fight. You could say I'm sort of paranoid about everything. Anyway, I only posted this because like I said, a voice told me run and an invisible hand tried to pull me back. In response to your question about time of day, it's always night. It doesn't matter if I'm alone or with other people. There's always the sensation of being watched right up till I'm in my house or on my doorstep. If I'm in my room, sometimes I can sense something outside and of course, no ones there. I see a lot of things through my window (especially in the morning). Some good, some not so good. This spirit is one of those not so good. As soon as I saw it, I knew it didin't like me and I don't want to tempt fate.

I do know that some paranormal investigators have a ritual or prayer they go through at the end of an investigation that asks the spirits not to follow them home. Do you have any idea where this spirit may have come from or did he just pop up?

One of my daughter's had an experience with a black shadow in her bed room. It's not a nice spirit! My daughter is very afraid of it I beleive a person is in danger if this spirit is around them my , daughter was. If you are feeling low in spirit, having a low moment in your life, depressed, just a low point in your life ,this spirit sometimes comes around wanting to help you lose your life.( I've experienced this).

Well, I've heard of spirits following from one house to another - or from one location to your home, but I'd hesitate to think that they would actually pick someone out of the blue to stalk or seek a person out to cause harm. Certainly there are some bad spirits out there that do mean harm, but I believe it is a very rare thing to run into one.

Obake, I don't know what you might be experiencing, but by your own admission, you are paranoid of things in general. Perhaps this state of mind may be the root of your feeling someone is following you. I don't say it to be rude and am not trying to discredit your experiences, but we must consider every logical reason before we jump to the conclusion that bad spirits are after us.

Have you ever taken photographs when you feel something is around you?

I've always thought a spirit's appearance is based more on how much energy they have than if they are evil or good. I also think that things happen that can scare us but it is not meant to scare us - I just think we sometimes misunderstand what is being presented to us.

If you are truly being stalked by bad spirits, perhaps a good cleansing is in order? Ask for guidance from your protector and perform a good smudging. Though I am no expert in the art of smudging, I am sure others here can help you with the preperation. You should also include your whole family in the process. Your parents will need to agree and supervise. It's not something you want to do alone. There is strength in numbers. You must all surround yourself with white light and positive thought in the process. I wish you luck.

I beleive in good over evil. Thinking good thoughts and having a positive attitude are a large part of what we attract to us spiritually or physically.
If this spirit is upsetting you, tell it so.
If you attend church you might want to speak with your minister about it.
Another thing is to read up on the paranormal and try to understand it more, gain knowledge.
One thing I always beleive in also for young adults is talk to your parents, which ever one your closer to and will understand and listen.
If you ever need any of us to jot a note to feel free.
I am feeling here that understanding is the key and sometimes knowledge comes with the understanding.
Please don't think that just because you feel something or see something it makes it automatically something evil. Quite the contrary, you may have a wonderful gift and just need some help understanding it.
Your local library is a good place to start, but so is the net.

In response about where the ghost came from. I have a theory. It's a long shot but it's the only one I have. I live in Hawaii. In Hawaii, there are burial caves. I've read stories where sometimes these caves would vanish and never pop up again.
When I was about 4 or 5, 4 spirits would come and visit each night. They would look in through the front door and they would leave before 10 at night. Anyway, my parents had the house blessed after I told them what I was seeing and one of the last memories I have from the ritual is a big cave that no light entered. It was pitch black. Of course, that cave isn't there. The reason I bring this up is because my theory is one spirit wasn't happy being sent away. An author who publishes ghosts books once proposed a theory to me that the 4 spirits I saw lived in the cave. Also, I've seen the cave again. Only once but after 10 years it shows up out of the blue? In reality, the place where I've seen the cave is a collapsed wall. Nothing more than a slope of rocks that is against the side of the mountain. Plus, my friend already found one burial cave, whats to say the Vanishing cave isn't one? I know 3 srories of vanishing caves that contained items usually stored with dead Hawaiians. There's my theory, any more?

By the way, now that KellKell has reminded me, I was gonna go on a Ghost hunt to see what happens. I was planning on taking a Camera along. All I have is a Digital Camera, and a cheapy disposable one for $5.00. I was gonna see if I catch the shadow figure on film (since it shows up often) and visit a few places I have lets just say, ran very quickly from. It seemed like a good idea when I had it but forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me, anyway, any suggestions?

If those places "where you ran away from" could put you in danger, don't go there. If you insist on going there, don't go alone.

Since your parents had the house blessed before it sounds like they are willing to believe what you tell them. Have you talked to them this time? Blessings do have to be repeated sometime and it may be time to do that.

When you see the burial cave, is it in a dream or more like a vision? Does it seem real or like maybe you looking into the past?

I have seen stories on the islands and from what I seen they are a spirtual nexous.The ghost walk comes to mind.I belive that it is possible that you can be stalked it might not be anything more than the family you come from.Are you a native Hawain if so that could be the reason for your spirit.If you check your family you might be surprised.We all know that families can be stalked by spirits.A native ceremony may be in order.I know my opinion is not worth much but it is an idea and might be worth checking out.I hope I have helped you in some way.
