Would you like to investigate the 1892 Kutztown Public School
Building that is the current home of the Kutztown Area Historical
Society....and a ghostly inhabitant as well? October 11th, 18th, and
25th the Berks County Paranormal Association in conjunction with the
Kutztown Area Historical Society will be conducting open to the
public ghost investigations of this building. Kutztown is located in Eastern Pennsylvania.

Hi Rick,

I'd love to, if I were closer, but alas...

I've added this to our Ghost Events page[/URL]. Good luck and have fun! Let us know how it goes?

wow, thanks kell! I actually was a bit paranoid about posting the fundraiser here, alot of other messageboards have a fit if you mention something that your group is doing, since i didn't see any rules posted here i decided to post it and see what happened. Thanks again!

You're welcome! Hey, I think it's great you posted it because we have poeple from a lot of different places that gather here and you never know - like Damien - he's close enough and is interested! So, I say why not. [Wink] Any time your group has an event, let me know and I'll add it to the page. =)

Sounds like fun and I'd love to go but I would be useless since my eyes would be closed the whole time [Laughing] I'm a fraidy cat and watch scary movies with a pillow over my face.

I'll just wait here and let you guys tell us all about it =) Good luck!

Hi Rick,

My husband and I are thinking about going. Kutztown isn't too far from us. We're waiting to hear from our nephews though. We're trying to get them to come back down for a visit around Halloween...they live in NH...if they can make it I want to bring them along. Should know within the next few days or so. What a great idea though, having an open investigation! Thanks for posting! =)

Trinity,

I hope you can make it =) Hopefully the investigations will be fairly active, there has been alot of recent activity reported in the building. when you decide how many people will be coming just email me directly at berks_paranormal@yahoo.com and i give you all the information you'll need. we try to do whatever we can as far as historical preservation so we opted to choose the historical society as our venue for the fundraising this year, we are splitting all proceeds with them 50/50.

Wendy,

it is several hundred miles from Evansville Indiana, I'd love to have you there but i don't think you want to drive quite that far for an investigation! =)

Dang, I wish I didn't live so far away, I would have a blast doing something like this. And being a gadget freak I have stuff that would probably work great in an investigation: digital camcorder, digital minidisc recorder, various microphones/mixing gear, a laptop, etc.

Rick, I am so sorry to have taken so long with getting back to you. It looks like we probably won't be able to make it. We've been waiting to hear from my nephew as to wether he can make it down for a visit or not. So far all we've heard is that his "Mom needs to think about it." Which means if he is allowed to come down, we'll find out the day before he leaves. [Sigh]

Definitely keep us up-dated though...and of course you'll have to let us know how the investigations go!

Happy ghost hunting! =)

We hadn't registered yet. I had said that I would get back to you within a few days about registering...and it had been much longer then that. Still, as of today, no word on wether my nephew will be able to make it down. UGH!!!!! [Sigh]

How is it going anyway? You must be getting tons of people!
