Hi everybody

Does anyone know what causes a grey smoke to gather on your ceiling. Yesterday morning the dog work me yelping at 3am I ran downstairs to the lounge and on the ceiling was a mass of grey swirling smoke there was an awful burning smell and I couldnt get over how cold the room was I grabbed the dog and legged it upstairs and didnt go back down until daylight when it was back to normal (as normal as this house gets) I'd been smelling burning off and on all evening and I've never felt so scared as I did while I was standing there. Also the lounge was unbelievable cold all evening prior to me going to bed and I must I did feel uneasy does anyone have an answer to this please?

Do you know the history of the place? Was there a fire at one time? If there was, perhaps there's an imprint or a spirit of someone who died in a fire. Of course you should check and make sure something isn't really burning or smoldering as it could lead to a fire! Are you having any electrical problems?

I take it your house has a lot of activity. Have you experienced the burning smell in the past, prior to last evening?

I have to agree with Kevin, it could be an imprint. Especially if you are smelling the smoke as well as seeing it. But please be careful to make sure that nothing is in fact burning. If your smelling the smoke on and off, maybe something electrical? I'm no expert in that department. Let us know if it keeps happening though.

I have to agree with everyone else. Make sure you get this checked out! That burning smell worries me, it could be a wire smoldering somewhere.

I did check the wiring but where the smoke was it wasnt near a light fitting, I have smelt a burning smell before but that was always when there was a black shadow figure around and its happened in other houses too, not seeing the smoke just the smell but it was quite a deep mass on the ceiling.

I have done a history on the house and it was built on the land where a light house used to be until it collapsed into the sea and then there was a playground built on this site but the school was burnt down but that would be where my neighbours home is so why would I get the smoke?

Becky has also said she can hear people talking, which is probably what the dog can, I have heard voices from time to time but I cant always make out what they say.

I would research the school/playground and the fire some more. It seems like whatever you're experiencing could be related. Find out if anyone died in the fire. How big was the school? Maybe it covered both your and your neighbor's properties?

Are you saying you experience the smoke, smell, and shadows in other people's homes too? Maybe this spirit likes you and follows you around. Does anyone else with you experience the same things?

has anyone in your family or has any of your friends ever die in a fire? or has anyone who lived in the house before die in a fire not nessesarily a fire in that house but someone who lived there maybe a firefighter perhaps? if it has followed you it could be a someone linked to you.
