On September 6th, 2003 we were at the school house and I was giving my usual spiel. A voice came from the canyon to the west of the school house causing about 12 of the 28 people on the Ghost Walk to jump. The people that jumped started asking, "what was that?" The other 16 in the group did not here the voice. The voice was quite loud and obvious. What we all realized is that, selected people could here the voice and the others were not included. The sound that the voice made was agreeably not animal and not a normal human type voice. It was like a loud, forceful whisper with a slight gravelly sound in it. The voice seemed to pronouce two syllables like "haaaasaaa". The word was repeated once about 2 seconds apart fro the first. This really caught me off guard and it had us speachless for a few seconds. I kept asking the people that did not hear it, "Are you sure you heard nothing? They were confused about what we were asking. The people that did here the voice were baffled why everybody hadn't heard it. Obviously the people on the tour that were open to spirits were the ones that experienced the voice.

That is very cool. I'd like to say that they are not the only ones that have experienced ghostly happenings on a ghost tour or ghost walk. My group, NEHR, also had an unusual and very cool experience on one of those tours.

Two of the members of our group did a ghost tour of Norwichtown, CT a couple of years back and brought the camcorder along, just to record the tour guide's narrative. In one section of the tape, the group of about 25 people were standing in a field listening to Donna talk about the events in that area. On the tape you can see a group of orbs move from left to right through the crowd. When we saw the tape, we were skeptical and analized it thoroughly. Most of the orbs were moving so fast that even in slow-motion speed on the VCR, they were hard to make out. Many of the orbs moved in and out, weaving amongst the crowd. None of the orbs moved in a predictable way for bugs or dust (there was no wind and the group had been standing for quite a while before they made their appearance). The orbs seemed to move with purpose, not erratically as bugs always do. We went through the tape again and again, and could not refute the orbs with any logical explanation.

Now if only we could find the tape....(it somehow disappeared, even though we put it in the filing cabinet with all of our other investigations and cases).

That really is interesting about the ghost walk and the audible sound. A few months ago, hubby and I were on one of the ghost walks in New Orleans. I snapped a picture at O'Flaherty's Bar, the site of a murder/suicide in the 1800's, and caught a great orb pic. I've been meaning to send it to Kell and to the person who conducted the tour.
I love ghost walks! We try to find one whenever we take trips. You never know what may happen!

Wow, very interesting! I think it's crazy how some people heard it and others did not. Although it does make sense that those that weren't as open to idea would be the one's that didn't hear the voice.

CT, how strange that the tape disappeared. Sounds like you guys captured some pretty good footage. You'll have to let us know if it turns up.

Carrie, I would love to see that picture!
