Hi there everyone,

Ok I know I've been under a lot of stress lately and not getting much sleep but I know that I put the lettuce on the work top. It was there just now, I turned my back to get a knife and its gone. It couldnt roll off, theres no where for it to go, the kids are all out and its the size of a football.... [Nutty]

I've looked everywhere but its GONE [Eek!]

Why would they take my lettuce, this is not funny and god only knows where it will turn up or when. I've only just got my can opener back after a month and that turned up in fridge, somewhere it just wouldnt be or something I could miss either as the kids go through 12 pints of milk a day, ( we badly need a cow in the back garden).

Oh well heres hoping it comes back before it gets smelly [Sigh]

Lots of love

Lynne, my only thought is those ghosties of yours were lacking in dietary fiber and craving a good salad! Keep watch over your salad dressing! [Wink]
You have really had your fair share of the weird experiences in that house. I remember the can opener incident. I've never understood why they seem to take the oddest things!

[Laughing] Carrie! UGH Lynne! I don't know how you do it. At this point I would be so irritated with the ghosty's. Well, at least with the lettuce you know that you'll eventually find it if it's not returned soon because it will start to smell. Let us know how it's going and if it's returned!

Well, if it's not returned maybe when it starts to smell mankind will finally discover where ghosts hide things! [Eek!] Also, when you find the lettuce you may also discover all those missing socks that mysteriously disappear from the dryer! =)

If the lettuce disappears completely, maybe your ghost gave it to some other ghosts. I could ask the staff at the haunted sandwich shop I went to yesterday if they came across an extra head of lettuce in their fridge this morning...

Well stopping me from having my dinner is one thing but now my blooming watch has dissappeared it was on the same counter as the lettuce, now I'm miffed I'm dreading holloween, and why cant they take things like bills or useless boyfriends [Laughing]

I must admit I'm not looking forward to the whiff of mouldy lettuce in my kitchen but it could well be that I find all those socks and ties that have gone missing in the last few months.....

Love

I just thought of something... if your ghostie tends to take things from that particular counter, how about leaving a cell phone or pager on that counter, and then after the ghost swipes it, call the number! Just make sure you have the ringer turned on high, and maybe you'll discover the ghost's hiding spot! Or maybe he'll answer the phone! =)

[Big Grin] Hey that's a great idea about the phone or pager. Have you tried talking with the ghost telling it "how would you like me to take stuff from you if the tables were turned and I was the ghost and you were the human" =P who knows it just might work. I wish I could be more help but I have never had anything like that happen to me. Well try to keep strong I will say a few prayers that your ghost stops hiding things on you. =) ((HUGS))

Did the lettuce ever turn up yet? How odd and yet, somewhat funny. Try putting a tape recorder on the counter and see if you can get any evp's. Next time ask if they want fries with that? [Laughing] These prank type ghosts can be annoying, but at least not harmful. Sounds like something a child spirit would do to have fun.

Lynne, when CarolAnne mentioned poltergeist, I re-read your original post where you said you've been under stress lately. Your ghost is probably feeding off that energy. Perhaps when your stress level returns to normal the activity will slow down or stop.

Otherwise, try asking nicely and maybe he'll return your stuff. Give EVP a try. Do you know the history of your house? Maybe you can find out more about who your ghost is.

Hi Kevin

I have researched the history of the house, it was built on the site of a light house and dutch sailors were killed here not long after in a bad storm because they lost their bearings and were smashed onto the rocks, I know that I have young kids here, ones called Michael he talks to Becky, they died in a fire in the school and their playground was where my house now is, also there was farmers and their familys drowned in floods here, and according to a medium that I saw she said I am constantly open and will no matter where I live always be haunted, great. I have been seeing people since I was about 4ish. And yes being stressed they are probably having a field day with all the energy I'm throwing plus I have a 13 yr old boy and two girls aged 12 and 11 who are raging hormones. The other two are 10 yrs and 2yrs but Becky can hear and see them and Jason always used to talk about his previous life before cars were used for transport.

Hope this has filled you in a bit, I think I'm beyond help [Laughing]

Wow, between your stress, your haunted location, your being open to the paranormal and teen/preteen hormone machines the poltergeists are probably lining up at your door! [Eek Smile] Maybe it's time to have the house blessed or something, before things get worse. I'll bet the ghosties are applying for portal construction permits at your location as we speak! [Eek!]

When you mention the history of your place, mentioning the school that burned, I recall your earlier post about smoke. I also remember an earlier post about a bunch of figures (the Dutch sailors?) standing around your bed, was that you too? It all seems to fit together, doesn't it?

You should try taking pictures, and set up a tape recorder to try and get some EVP.

Hi Lyn!

You know I agree with Kevin, that is why I have so many prob's here. They can sense me sensing them, and talking to them probably doesn't help.
As far as being evil, here we go again. I do not feel any evil.....my money back would be nice and the insurance check also?
My eye is swollen shut this morning. For those of you that haven't read, a lotion bottle came out of nowhere and hit me in the eye while I was sleeping. We cannot put anything on our headboard, so I don't know where it came from.
Lyn, when you smelled the sweet smell, was it Lavender/Lilac mix? That is what hit me!
Curt came home early and took me to the ER, they did nothing not even enough pain killers. This morning I thought I was blind, I have to pull my eye open but I can see out of it.
Yes, I think something is keeping us apart or trying for some reason. I keep thinking about the American soldier with you for some reason.
I write everyone else fine, so do you right?
I am beginning to think it is another prank. I looked for a letter this morning, still nothing.
Oh well, we will figure it out.
Or they are still angry with Curt for yelling at them, and I am the one that asked them not to take it out on him, maybe they said "ok you then?"
LOL I wouldn't doubt it for the world!
Try writing Kevin like he said.
Write soon.......testing......testing.....1.2.3!
Hugs and Kisses all around and a special one for your big girl Becky Boo! Tell the kids hi from Aunt Peg!
Lots of luv!
Peggy

Oh my Lyn I don't think i'd last a day at your house. As for the lettuce maybe the ghost was simply stating that instead of a salad for dinner you should have a nice cupcake =) It saw your need for chocolate to relieve the stress?? The cell phone or pager seems like a pretty good idea, but I'd be afraid I'd never find it. Perhaps one of those keychains that makes the horrendous noise when you clap your hands? All lost items seem to turn up behind the won't move without great strain to Miranda dresser. I"m not sure how they get there but I've found lots of stuff there, the kid's baton, my nail polish remover various books.. and that was just this week. Stuff disappears in this house like crazy.
