Okay, when we get tired, for the most part, our imagination usually takes control. From time to time. This isn't true for some, but it is for me, or at least I believe.

Let me clarify this, as it already seems a little convoluted...

When I was young, say about eight or nine ... I can't remember the exact age, but I know it was around the time of the original showing of 'Empire Strikes Back'. I remember this because I had a large, rubber Yoda puppet for Christmas that year. What does all of this have to do with sightings? Let me go more into detail...

I was travelling with my family that night from my home town to my grandmothers. It was an hour drive, approximately, and both my mother and younger sister were sleeping, whilst my dad was driving (thankfully). And I remained in the back, entertaining the latenight traffic with a puppet show from my Yoda puppet.

And that's when I saw it. The typical Top-Shaped object in the sky. A top series of red lights circling one way, the middle blue the other way, and the bottom part being white (or yellow, it was a looong time ago) spinning the same as the top part.

I told my dad that there was a UFO behind us. Naturally, I assume today, dad was humouring me, being a little tired and locked into traffic as he was. Three times I told him, as I stared out of the back of the car ... and then it was gone.

To this day, I'll hold true that I saw something, but, still ... I was a kid. I was tired. I could have been 'thinking it'.

Thank you.

I'm not sure how old you are but enough time has passed that you're starting to question what you saw. What does your Dad say now - if he was just humoring you at the time, he probably won't remember the event. That's a good indication that he didn't see anything to back you up.

Yeah, it's kinda what I figured. Though my dad's kinda stoic about the 'supernatural'. If he doesn't hear about it, it doesn't exist. He doesn't like to hear about my mother's psychic readings, and he only humours me when I talk about stuff like that.

Though, to be truthful, I'll have to ask him sometime. But I swear on ... whatever I can swear on, I saw this thing as clear as day. *shrugs* I'll ask him, and see where it goes from there.

Thanks for that advice! I'd not have thought to ask him!!

Hi, this is not meant to poke fun or be rude but I kind of had an experiecne like this but it was with Santa or I thought?
My father and I had just taken my grandparents home on Christmas Eve and dad was flipping through the stations. Sightings of Santa everywhere! For some reason my dad stopped and listend to Magic Carpet Ride? He did that, dad had lost 50% of his hearing in WWII and sometimes I don't think he knew what he was listening to LOL!
Anyways, sure as I am sitting here now, I could have sworn I seen Santa on a magic carpet?
I was in between the ages of beleiveing and not beleiving in Santa. And I truly think it was from being over-tired, wishing, the song and just the magical atmosphere that Christmas brings to us.
When I read your post it brought back that good memory for me, thanks!
