Hi,
I have on a few occasions had dreams that came to pass. The difference is that I don't dream very often. When it has happened, I have dreamed the same dream for months beforehand.
Luckily, I don't dream alot.
Had a few lately, but they were just whacked out dreams.
Probably why I don't dream.
Sometimes it is difficult enough to see the past but to also look into the future is not something I am fond of and try to avoid.

Honey, I could fill up this board talking about my dreams, no kidding! Problem is I don't always
know if they are a good sign or a warning. Still trying to figure out my race car dreams.

To answer your question though, yes I have had a few warning dreams....BUT I got rid of that danger [Wink] Don't ask =P

yes- i do have warnings in the form of tidal waves. depending on the nature of the wave- like is is pretty or is it dark and muddy- that will be what is on the way. they always mean change for me.
Once i dreamt that the owner of my company was stealing my jewelry as a wave was coming- he laid me off the next week.

lately i have had dreams of smaller waves with lovely weather. i think this means that all bad things happening now are going to work out fine.

Strange this was brought up because a few days ago my mom and I talked about a dream I had last fall. I remember the dream vividly still. In it my younger brother had wrecked his car and died in the accident. My mom and I and her husband were all at the hospital (which in itself was odd because they live in Utah) and I refused to believe my brother was dead. Cue the twilight zone music here, I had the dream sometime in the fall last year, the day after Thanksgiving my brother totaled his car coming home from a party. I had no idea this had happened until my mom came in this summer. My brother didn't want my to know because he knew I'd be upset with him (long story there) so my mom didn't tell me till this summer.

Yes, Like RainsMirage, more than I can recall.

I hope that dream wasn't too scary hallowseve. Not all dreams come true too. Your intuition can tell you the difference between your dreams.
I had a few waking dreams in my last apartment of it being filled with smoke and I paniced to find the fire. As I came out of the waking dream the smoke faded. The house hasn't yet caught on fire. I still don't know why I smelled and saw that smoke.

RainsMirage, vehicles in dreams commonly represent your body or your life. If you have dreams of parts of your car breaking down or failing, getting hit, usually it's about your body. If you have dreams of speeding out of control, not being able to see, basically the vehicle doing things, it usually represents your life.
Not everything means the same thing to different people but it is very common for the modern person to use symbols of vehicles for life and body.
I hope that helps.

oh yes i have dreams and the weird thing about them is they are of the past and the future mixed into one. i believe and i know many people dont feel this way but i beleve i was here one before in a diffenrt life. i have seen things in my dreams that are so real and i feel like its not a dream but a memory. i always have a dream of the civil war and in the dream they bring my husbands body to me and i lay over the body crying. its a dream i have so often and seems so real. i also have been in places where i have never been but i know i have. i know where things are in the building or have visons of people who arent there. its weird i know but i strongly belive i was here once before and some of the dreams i have arent acually dreams but reality

Hi everyone,
I had a dream once in high school that something
bad was going to happen in this one stairwell.
It was so upsetting, I avoided those stairs for
weeks, then telling myself to stop being stupid,
I used the stairs and fell down a pull flight.
I broke my front tooth in half, and I had already
had my arm in a sling, so I was in big time pain.
That teaches me not to listen.
I have a reacurring dream about a house,
it's always the same one, with a dual staircase.
older house. and Im always on the landing
looking out at something. If I ever see that house, I think I'll pee myself. [Nutty]
Lately I've been dreaming about fish.
Tropical fish. all colors and there's at least
one with big teeth.
very weird. And the fish are usually my employees. And one of the big teethed one was
Brad Pitt???? I dont know what it means.
I dont even like him, he's okay, but a fish???
So yes, Im weird.
Doreen

Ps Hallowseve,
That is freaky!!! I dont know how I would
react to that. And I too am owned by 2 cats and
a hubby. =)

Tropical fish as employees eh? That's too cool...although I'm not too sure about the Brad Pitt thing, kinda amusing though =)
Nakis,
I didn't know cars represented your body in dreams...interesting, I have dreams all the time about my car breaking down, but then again my car seems to always be doing something weird. Something to ponder though

Miranda,
So you think that was funny about the fish.
That was the short cut version. I have an
employee named violet. She is sooo sweet,
everyone loves her. Anywho, In the brad pitt dream, brad was a big fish with lots of sharp
teeth. and violet was stuck in his mouth.
And she was a tiny little blue fish. I kept saying
"Violet, your turning violet!" You know, like
on willie wonka, we always say this to her,
for some reason, it cracks us up. I have to
start doing something to stop dreaming.
I dream every night. Crazy, funky ones, where you
wake up shaking your head and wondering if you
really are insane!
Doreen
Ps- usually I dream in technicolor!!!
I think Im weird.

In Dec./1980,I had a dream vision in which my 26 yr. old neice was dead and in her coffin. I didn;t tell any one about the dream, because I thought it ridiculous, my neice was not going to die. Not at 26,yrs. old. Jan.18,1981, my neice was found murdered in her own home in her own bedroom. Her two children were in the next bedroom
unharmed. Two days later,my phone rang, my 10 yr.old daughter answered it she turned pale, and dropped the phone.I asked my daughter what was wrong? She said it was my murdered neice calling to tell us that she was ok. I beleived her!!!

Thanks Nakis, sorry but I just saw your post today. The dreams I keep having are about race cars, Nascar, I think? Somebody is sitting inside the car, the car is sitting still and there is writing on the driver's door and the driver is pointing to the words but I cant read what it says. Hows that for strange? Any ideas?

My dreams seem to reflect my current state of mind more than the future. I have dump dreams where every thing that is going on blends into strange and amusing (after I wake up) stories.
Animal dreams seem to be messages to myself and any prophetic dreams I have seem to come as day dreams.

I am a lucid dreamer, I know I am dreaming and often change things if they don't make sense (in the dream world) My favorite example was I dreamt I was in an attic looking at old trunks. This handsome red haired young man came in and started a conversation about a trunk. We hit it off so well he told me I could have it. One thing led to another and we started making love, on the trunk! I thought how uncomfortable and it instantly became a couch. Stuff like that. Guy turned out to be dead, but hey thats another story. Or I will be doing a simple task and having major trouble getting really upset and I tell myself hey, Its a dream you don't have to deal with this and wake up.

It is funny about the tidal waves and tropical fish. Those are the only 2 repetative themes I ever had. The tidal wave ones are scary, the sky is always overcast, the scene has a very narrow boxed in feel and there is always a convenient chain link fence for me to run to when I see the waves pull back and cling to when the waves come over me. The tropical fish are always in tanks and I agonize over the decorations of the tanks, colors, combinations of fish etc. It is exhausting.

I love dreaming, I got a book once on developing lucid dreaming. I figured I do it now and I will get better at it. Well after reading the book I had a period of 3-4 years where there were no dreams at all! I was so upset I shredded the book and will never pick up another book on that subject ever. Dreams are personal and what is a particular symbol to one is not relevant to anyone else.

Hey Jeannie,1st off the trunk dream sounded like it was pretty steamy!(phew!)Would you mind giving me the author & title of that book,it sounds like maybe it might be the help I've been looking for.I can't believe this thread is still going.

Thanx to everyone who posted I feel much less alone now. =)

Sorry Hollowseve, my computer is cranky. I cannot remember the name of the book. It was a small paperback and the words Lucid Dreaming was in the title. All I remember is that I held it responsible for not being able to dream at all.

And the dream sounds steamy but the best part was when I tried to convince 2 women that the couch was given to me by the nice red hair man and pointed to a picture of him, only to have them tell me he had been dead. [Eek!] Typical horror movie stuff. Woke up before I found out if I got to keep the couch/trunk. [Sigh]

Well,Jeannie I appreciate the feedback anyway.

I had a rather gory dream about 2 weeks ago about a mother & son...1 week later this guy I work with (I liked him)he snapped & shot his wife in the head! We(at work)were wondering where they are going to put his son(it's sad)...I know the dream was related to that.It was very, very vivid.

Sometimes I think not dreaming at all would be a good thing. [Thud!]
