:shock:This is a vortex pic my aunt sent me from a house in Beverly Ma. she was living inat the time. They had remodeled the room and wanted a record of it.I should note that I slept there in comfort and that nobody had any freaky experiences there. We had the photos checked by a professional and she saw nothing wrong w/the negative.Taken from different angles... [Eek!]

Hallowseve, the pic isn't coming up. I think it may not be the correct URL. You'll probably need to go in and get the correct URL like I told you how to do in the PM I sent a bit ago, then edit the post with the new URL.

If you need help, let us know. =)

My apologies for our rudeness and I really mean that.

If you eliminate the possible camera strap or long hair - these are good vortex pics.

I believe that a home can have it's visitors even though you never encounter any outwardly activity. Redecorating or remodeling can bring it curiousity seekers and I think that's what you've got here.

P.S. - I've tried to duplicate a "fake" vortex pic by dangling hair in front of the lense (and I've got a head of long hair) but they've never shown up at all. [Confused]

I also have to apologize for my lateness in replying. Things can tend to get a little bit slow around here at times, some topics really pick up while others don't always. Please don't take offense if people are late in responding.....we're always interested! [Wink]

Looks like you've got some great pictures there! I always tend to take the camera strap route when I see pictures of vortexes...but these actually look genuine to me. I would think if it was a camera strap, it would look the same in all of the pictures, while the first and third are very similar...the second one looks completely different from them. I also notice that the bottom left hand corner of the first and third are transparent. Would a strap do that? Of course there's always a piece of hair, but I honestly don't think that a hair would look that thick or solid.

I have to agree with Connie as far as remodeling or construction stirring things up. A house doesn't necessarily have to be "haunted" to have some activity. Could just be someone passing through taking a peek at what was done with the house.

Thanx guys!No apologies are necessary.I figured after I messed up the pic link on the first try I would have to write something to call attention to the change.

No offense taken & rudeness never occured to me. [Rainbow Smiley] I'm glad you found it interesting to look at!

Those are good vortex pics. It's interesting that they were taken in a house that hasn't had any activity, but then who really knows what a vortex is anyway. Maybe they can occur anywhere whether there is paranormal activity or not.

I doubt that it's hair. A camera strap is a possibility, though the transparent end rules that out (though if the strap is out of focus it may appear partially transparent). Also, I doubt that a strap would look that different from pic to pic.

It looks like there's a kitty on the bed. I can't tell if it's staring at the vortex or the camera though. Did the kitty act strangely at all during this event?

Hallowseve,

You're welcome and I too am sorry I didn't get back to this a little sooner - things have been crazy. [Nutty]

Interesting pics! As the others have said, it could possibly be a camera strap, even though it appears transparent in areas. I don't think it's hair because when hair is photographed that way, it has a smoother, more circular appearance. I'd like to see a clearer version to get a better look at it though. Do you happen to have an original scan (bigger & better resolution)? If you do, you can email it to me.

Thanks for sharing them with us! =)

In the original post you said "We had the photos checked by a professional and she saw nothing wrong w/the negative." Does this mean the "vortex" is not in the negatives or its there and was a part of the images?

No,the vortex was in the negative, the vortex itself did not travel outside the negative.Which would indicate an object like a camera strap without a doubt.Good question! [Shocked]

I talked to my aunt the other night about this pic again. She said that the camera in question lost its strap long before the pic was taken....also I can testify to the fact that she has always kept short hair(as long as I can remember)& still does today.
She is also one of the most trustworthy people I have ever known in my whole life(she has never steered me wrong.)For those diehard inquiring minds =) [Shocked]

A point of concern is that the vortex maintains the same basic angle/enty into/exit out of the picture frame. Two were taken of the same angle in the room and one was taken of a different angle. This suggests that there may have been a physical reason for the anamoly. But also possible is that if it is a vortex then the energy that caused it may have moved along with the person taking the picture. As in whatever energy it may have been was purposefully in front of the camera(aside or behind the picture taker).

me sorry too. i no look at spooky forums much anymore.
Nothing personal Hallowseve especially for a fellow Massachusettetian (you ever take a look at the name Massachusetts from an outside perspective? What a weird name for a state =) ).

I have some vortex pics that might explain what Kevin is saying. In your pictures, the vortex has basically the same shape and position in each frame. But, Kevin, we've already established, in another thread, that the camera has no strap and that the person that took the picture has short hair soI can't emagine what else could have caused this if it's not spirit energy.

I hope this works. You can see my pics at this addy -
