OK... I know we have visitors here and we know who they are - my best friend and my wife's grandmother. I can feel his presence and we occasionally get a whiff of her grandmother's perfume, which we have none of.
But not too long ago we noticed something new: sounds of a baby either crying or jabbering. Yes, we have kids - 4, 3, and 1 - and I told her to go check on the baby. She went, then came back and reminded me that her mom had the kids! Occasionally we would hear what sounded like a larger 'entity' so we assume that's the baby's mommy.
Only problem is that we can't figure out why it's here. As far as we know (but can't verify) is that nothing bad has ever happened in our apartment, at least relating to kids. Also, we've been here three years and the baby ghost just came about this year.
Also, on occasion I will see flits of light near the windows. We have a street light on the corner of the building and one near the office that faces our building, but even with the blinds closed I will see them. They 'fly' around in patterns not consistant with the lights at all, and in ways that if they were outside you wouldn't see them through the blinds (like over the wall, etc.) The other night they were doing that and with me working on the computer it got annoying. I looked at them and said "ghosties, get to bed!" and they went away.
So whatcha think? Ghosties, or am I going crazy? I've heard explanations for seeing flits of light but for some reason I don't think that's it for me, as I only see them at home. If I'm out somewhere I never see them.
So, those are the residents of my apartment other than my family... but I am curious about the baby. Would really like to know why it's here!?

It's hard to say why the baby and other ghost is there. Sometimes I think that if one ghost 'gets through', others can as well and they don't necessarily have to have a connection to you or your property.
Do you happen to have any antique furniture or any recent purchases of pre-owned items? Ghosts can be attached to objects.
As for the lights - I see those here in my house a lot, and like the ones you see, these do not correspond with street lights or car headlights from outside.![[Wink]](wink.gif)
I believe it's just another form of energy that ghosts can take.

Nothing antique here -- not even anything new! I recently read something about haunted objects and the spirits attached to them but don't have anything that would fit the decription. Actually I have recently purchased some old model railroading stuff on eBay but the ghosts were here before then...
That theory about ghosts "slipping through" with the others sounds reasonable... I think the only connection I know of a possible ghost relating to our apartment would actually be related to the complex in general. About a year ago a woman was attacked by her ex-boyfriend, beaten and left for dead. She survived, but she was five months pregnant and lost the baby due to the beating.
As for the lights, I too assumed they were other spirit forms, like orbs and mists. Haven't seen any of those around, just the lights...

Sometimes ghosts can be attracted to a certain vibration of energy. In other words, if you have a happy household with kids, it's entirely possible that a couple of your uninvited guests liked the 'feel' of the place and decided to move in. If it is a mother and child together maybe they are attracted to something that was lacking in their physical lives. ![[Cool]](coolbrows.gif)
