Uh oh! I think I just took you off the Ghost Events page because the one night was overwith - guess I need to put you back on! [Wink]

On Halloween - how exciting! You'll let us know how both nights went? I mean, will you have a report up sooner or later? [Big Grin]

Rick,

I quickly looked at the page earlier, but didn't realize they were from the investigation! I just tried to look again and it appears your bandwidth limit has been exceeded. =( It's not out for the the rest of the month, I hope?

Kell,

fortunately my host has an hourly bandwidth limit and it refreshes itself every hour. we've been hammered with alot of hits lately so i may be looking for a new host for the site in the future.

i was there this past saturday and needless to say i am going back this saturday and the saturday after that but not halloween (i am going to a CKY concert in philly) but anyway it was pretty wild especially in the basement i got a few pics of orbs upstairs but most of the activity occured in the basement we got down there and i got a really weird feeling at the one part of the basement i went back the hall took some pics came back out but when i got to the end of the short hall my camera shut off by itself funny thing is i had just put brand new batteries in it and other people were having the same problems. so nothing much else ocurred for a little bit then they decided they were going to shut off the lights while rick showed and passed around the infrared scope. i was sitting on a table next to rick in front of everyone when my camera shut off again when it did i told rick and just then his emf detector went crazy i imediately went in search of something and caught a few orbs. that was pretty much it but i think i caught a almost full body aparition on film but i am not sure i have to check the area where i took the pic. anyways after the basement we went upstairs to do an evp session and recorded footsteps on the stairs but the funny thing is everyone was upstairs at the time being completely quiet and nobody was on the steps nor did we hear anyone on the steps but on the playback it is clear as day someone walking on the steps. i had left my evp gear in the basement during all of this the door was locked behind us and everyone was on the 2nd floor and about 3 minutes into the tape you can hear someone down there shuffleing around and banging stuff. very cool stuff!!! so if you can go then by all means go!!!!! i will be there for the next two but unfortunately not the halloween investigation.

Thanx Connie it's nice you wanting to help,I'm actually the more solitary type and would prefer something I can explore without going w/ a tour group...like a good cemetary site or battleground that is available for wandering through.

The area is Pittsburgh, and places relatively close.I did find an article about an icehouse down off Penn avenue that exploded in the 1800s.
But its a museum now,(probly get kicked out-lol)I may try to take a camera there at some point though.

There is a haunted restaurant closeby that made T.V.,but they won't allow you upstairs where the activity is.I had dinner there before, but didn't notice any activity.

Hallowseve,
Maybe you should put together a small investigative team of your own. You and a couple of friends. A video cam, a digital cam, a 35 MM cam, and a couple of recorders should do it (other equipment emf meter, digital thermometer, etc. are icing on the cake). Sit down and think about what procedures you would like to follow to get the desired results and don't forget to provide protection for yourselves both before, during and after your investigations (prayers based on your own belief system).

Think of a name for your team (research the web to make sure someone else isn't using that name) and put together a letterhead with the team's name. Then when you hear of places like the restaurant, where its haunted area is not public, you can write the owner to introduce yourself and to ask for permission to do a small investigation. This might get you in the door because it sounds more professional and not like you're just any curious tourist.

And, I'm sure you wouldn't do this but for the benefit of everyone reading - Please don't sneak in cameras where they are not allowed and never investigate any area without the owner's permission. It can get you into big trouble - if the spirits don't hound you, the law will.

The following site has hauntings in Pennsylvania and I noticed several in Pittsburgh. They are in no particular order so you'll have to scroll through to see if anything catches your eye.

Thankyou so much Connie, there is a cemetary in there that we can scope without permission.I saved that page to favorites for future reference.
Money is an issue right now...I'm thinkig disposable camera & eyeballs for right now.Majority of my close friends live out of town so it would probly just be me and hubby.
All is not for naught, that was a nice thing you did and rest assured at some point I'll put it to use. So,thanx again for the help.Happy Halloween! [Shocked]
