Hi everyone......I never got near a board until my bestfriend got one for her birthday. I think we were around 10 years old, Mel's birthday was just a couple days after mine.
So, the whole hit of weekday afternoons was the all girl posse trying to find some ghosts on the Ouija board. I didn't join in, and another girl ( I think its just cause she went to my church LOL) Judy didn't either. The other 4 girls did. Light the candles and call for Thomas Jefferson stuff?
Being a sensitive, my grandmother warned me of all kinds of things and this being one of them. She sort of showed me all the rules, it is kind of how it felt. This was a big no no! But I figured all I was doing was watching right? And the summer went on.............
Finally, I think everyone was getting bored of it but down in Mel's basement we went, to hunt up some ghosts. I kinda had to laugh, I'd been seeing ghosts all my life, why are they calling one? But by this age I had also learned to keep my mouth shut about such things, as grandma said they would lock me up!
One day as they were doing the usual routine, Mel got to do most of it cause it was her board, they finally got a spirit? I imediately felt it, got up, told it to go back into the eye, closed it told Mel to throw it away and never open it again or she would have it back! Then I went home and called my grandma! lol!
Yep, I got picked on so bad for days about it from the girls. But one day when I went to Mel's I noticed it in her garbage on pick-up day. She never said anything, but shrugged her shoulders.
Mel told the other girls she lost it?
Actually, I married Mel's cousin years later. I didn't have to tell my kids about the board, our kids were playing together oneday and she told them all about that day! My sons never even asked for one?
