Hi everyone......I never got near a board until my bestfriend got one for her birthday. I think we were around 10 years old, Mel's birthday was just a couple days after mine.
So, the whole hit of weekday afternoons was the all girl posse trying to find some ghosts on the Ouija board. I didn't join in, and another girl ( I think its just cause she went to my church LOL) Judy didn't either. The other 4 girls did. Light the candles and call for Thomas Jefferson stuff?
Being a sensitive, my grandmother warned me of all kinds of things and this being one of them. She sort of showed me all the rules, it is kind of how it felt. This was a big no no! But I figured all I was doing was watching right? And the summer went on.............
Finally, I think everyone was getting bored of it but down in Mel's basement we went, to hunt up some ghosts. I kinda had to laugh, I'd been seeing ghosts all my life, why are they calling one? But by this age I had also learned to keep my mouth shut about such things, as grandma said they would lock me up!
One day as they were doing the usual routine, Mel got to do most of it cause it was her board, they finally got a spirit? I imediately felt it, got up, told it to go back into the eye, closed it told Mel to throw it away and never open it again or she would have it back! Then I went home and called my grandma! lol!
Yep, I got picked on so bad for days about it from the girls. But one day when I went to Mel's I noticed it in her garbage on pick-up day. She never said anything, but shrugged her shoulders.
Mel told the other girls she lost it?
Actually, I married Mel's cousin years later. I didn't have to tell my kids about the board, our kids were playing together oneday and she told them all about that day! My sons never even asked for one?

Well, from the replies, I don't think I need to tell you not to use it. My experience with a Quija Board was bad. My mother's brother was murdered in 1973, and afterwards when things calmed down and the trial was over, my mom and I took out my Ouija board and attempted to contact him. We did get answers to some perplexing questions, but the one still in my mind, is who was the "real" spirit contacting us through the Ouija board. The next night footsteps were heard on my mom's front porch and no one was there, my dad was awakened in the middle of the night by the slamming of an inside door, (and he's a skeptic), things were moved or missing in the days that followed, etc... We burned my board a few days later, but there are still strange happenings in the house on occasion. You just never know what type of spirit you will invite and may not be able to get rid of. One thing I believe, and others may disagree is, "good" spirits will not purposely try to terrify you... "evil" spirits delight in it. Get rid of it and find a "good" means of finding out what's going on. =)

Don't use it unless you're a trained professional! LOL

I watched my sister & cousin used a board when I was 14. A bad event. Thing went nice at first. The name of the spirit was EG. goofy I know. after all the silly questions, my cuz asked the spirit How it died! This had me worried from the go. The spirit said "suicide." a few other scary wuestions followed and then a stinking odor began to fill the room. Well, be a brave boy of 14, I told my sister & cuz "I'm outta here!"

Fast forward to 1986. I'm at a small party with some close friend from High School. A few people in the a room are using the board; so, I decided to watch again.

They started with calming thier minds, opening thier minds, and then began the regular questions. Well, when they asked the supposed spirit it's name the board directed the hand piece to E & G! Everyone thought I was a complete freak as I grabbed the board took it outside and burned it. I pissed a few people off, but I said I'd give them the money for it, and exsplained why I burned it.

I don't know if that is the thing to do, but it seem exactly the thing to do at the time!

My advice: don't play with loaded guns.

White light and God's Love to all.
