Hey everyone.

It's now less than 3 weeks until we move into the 100-yr old house! Right now we're still at Traci's parents' place.

Anyway - tonight we were watching a bunch of ghost shows down here in the den, when we heard a huge crash upstairs. (No-one else was home)

We went upstairs, and in the living room a glass-and-brass candle holder had come off the wall and smashed on the floor about 6 ft away from the wall.

The nail that held it up was still intact in the wall, and it was the kind of sconce that slips over and down on a nail, and neither of us can imagine it just falling off - let alone moving that far across the floor.

Hmmm? Any ideas as to why?

I've had things like that happen in one of the houses I lived in. Was the sconce smashed to smithereens, or was it pretty well intact? Any chance some sort of vibration could have caused it? Airplane? Washer/dryer?
I've even wondered if just our interest in the paranormal and watching the ghost shows and such could put the ghosties into overdrive. I've also had things happen while I was watching things like that. Also, it is that time of year...

In my life I have had things fly every which way. Mostly it happens when poor little Lexi, my 3 year old grandaughter, is in the room. I hear a crash and she isn't anywhere near what fell and she always says she didn't do it and I beleive her cause when she does do something wrong? She always says sorry.
The latest thing that went was an antique tiffany lamp in my computer room. I looked it over, tried a new bulb? Broke. Just the other night all I did was push is aside on a desktop and it came on?
Guess, it got fixed LOL!
But? When that lamp fell, Lexi was going to my nail polish drawer? ha ha ha!

That's pretty amazing, UM! Uh.... I can't imagine how it would end up six feet away from where it hung, if it hadn't had a little help. [Shocked] I hope it wasn't a treasured piece. [Wink]

I'm curious, too, was it smashed to smithereens or just broken into a few pieces? (Just trying to determine the force in which it was 'flung'.)

Peg, your lamp mystery could just be loose wiring. [Wink]
