Perhaps my imagination has gone into overdrive with Halloween being tomorrow however there is something that happened just a few minutes ago that I wanted to share. I got home from work and was walking to the house, I was thinking about how warm it still is outside and quite enjoying the warmth when I ran smack dab into a cold spot. It literally hit me in the face, about 3 steps away from the front door of the house. I stopped for a moment because it rather shocked me and then hightailed it for the door key in hand and hurried in the house. While fumbling with the key I noticed that it was no longer cold, about a foot away from where I felt the cold. Do deadbolts keep ghosties out?? [Eek!]

HAH, all heck could break loose in the next 24 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOO!
Did the cold spot, hit you, you ran into it or did it go through you?
I always loved Halloween, its my fathers birthday!

I guess I ran into it, it didn't so much go through me but I did notice when I got nearer the door I was warm again. On a sidenote there were 3 deer in the front yard and the dogs weren't doing their usual growl and watch rountine, in fact the dogs weren't on the front porch at all. Come to think of it that's kinda odd in itself.. Well 1:09 am and all is well, perhaps it was just a cold spot. I think I'll go sleep with the kid lol

Interesting. Did you feel anything else besides the cold, say a feeling of a presence or a disoriented sensation? How cold was the spot, just cool, or freezing cold?

You said there were deer in your yard. Maybe one of their dead herd-mates was near your door, or the deer themselves were ghosties!

Do you have ghosties in your house (seems like many here do)? Maybe one of them was outside taking in the fresh air! You should have grabbed your camera and snapped a pic!

Happy Halloween!

To answer your questions. It was cold enough to give me a start, I'd say the outside temp was around 65 degrees with a light warm breeze and when I ran into this spot it startled me because it was such a change in temp. As for the deer in the front yard, they are almost always in the front yard when I come home at night. They used to make sport of running out in front of my car however they don't do that so much anymore, they seem to have gotten used to me. As for how I was feeling, well I didn't so much feel a prescene just the overwhelming desire to get in the house and get in the house now, but I have always felt that way when coming in at night. I always hurry and shut and lock the door and rarely look behind me. I don't know why, I live in the middle of nowhere so it's not like I"m overly worried someone is going to come up behind me. As for ghosties in my house...well that's still being debated, things disappaer, most notably my black bikini bottoms 2 summers ago. There is a small family cemetary on the hill behind our house and a couple years ago I couldn't find my daughter, yelled and yelled for her, finally I called 911 which was when she came wandering down the hill and told me she heard me yelling but she was doing "stuff" and didn't want to come down just yet. She had never gone up there before and hasn't since and I have always had the feeling there was part of that story she wasn't telling me. But just to let you know, tonight the cold spot wasn't there and the dogs are barking their little hearts out at the deer in the front yard.
