Before I get started, I hope you all had a good halloween Anyway, I was wondering if anything else happened to you guys on Halloween. I know that there was no shortage of ghosts for me and I sure don't mean trick or treaters. As I was walking home from a nice afternoon out with my friends, 3 unexplainable things happened to me.
The first thing, I was following two 12 year old skateboarders up a hill. I turn areound to check for cars and when I turn back, no skaters whatsoever (trust me, I looked for them. The Second,as a I begin walking past a bush, the branch begins to shake (no wires or people around, I checked). Third, as I'm walking home, I begin to feel a pressure on the sides of my head only to find an orb is floating right next to me. The orb then vanishes into thin air right as I'm looking at it.
I know these things all seem explainable to you as pranks or part of my imagination. Trust me when I say I know what happened. Heck, each time something happened I made sure it wasn't a prank or some sort of device doing any of this. I checked for any reasonable explanations and still draw a blank. Got any ideas or a little something that happened to you? Leave a post.

Sounds like protective talisman time to me...unless you are completely comfortable that all of this activity is harmless.

When I was much younger & dumber I started messing around w/wicca & automatic writing,& yes,I to went in for the dreaded ouija board.

Many years of bad luck later, vivid unexplainable dreams that tend to come true(most of them unpleasant & scary)I delved into my background and family roots.

I have become extremely comfortable with runes(could try wearing a cross).Silver has protective qualities as do many semi-precious stones.(SpiritKeep has a wonderful section on crystals!)

We have discovered a little Cherokee in our background & I found out my Aunt has the dreams too.The last one ,just to give you an idea...I watched in vivid horror as a mother & son were consumed...

The dreams always come in semi code, and are vivid and always waking dreams...You can't forget them.

One week later a friend at work shot his wife in the head w/a 357 magnum. We at work feel the son has a shaky at best chance of growing up w/out falling into the same behavoir patterns of the mother and father, hence his plight in the dream.

I got precise answers when I used that ouija board.Matter of fact I'm now married to one of its answers, but I would never reccomend them to anyone.I've come to the conclusion that this thing that was so willing to talk is still with me to this day.

When I get negative it seems to feed off of it & add to the problem. My temper when I was a child was normal.I've taken some anger management as an adult.I get the creeps talking about it.

Someone on this board posted a thread about hearing your name called from nowhere.I awoke one morning to something whispering in my ear.It made the hair on the back of my neck stand up!Whatever it was got fervent & angry sounding as I awoke.

Since I have taken up the runes and learned more about other aspects of healing, herbs,& protective energy, I've been on a much more positive route!

Unfortunately,I still don't sleep well.I suffer insomnia & nervous anxiety problems. It's no wonder.I moved out of an apartment because of a terrifying dream & a feeling of foreboding I could not shake(had lived there for 6 yrs). While I was out of town later I got word that it had burnt down.

I hope the entities surrounding you are friendlier than mine, warnings are nice, but other peoples deaths I don't need to see.

Think since I'm older now & good friends have passed on that I have some help, someone in my corner so to speak. One came back to comfort my mom & I briefly.

I suspect the last laugh will be the foretelling of my own demise.

Use the arts & objects that are familiar & comfortable, unique to you and yours, if you feel the need & good luck.(that bush thing is disturbing, hope it was just an animal!)May love and light be around you!

Obake......do these occurences happen that often?
One thing I find, and I am a spirit magnet, is the power of positive thinking. Surround yourself in it and as much white light as you can muster.
We can draw these things to ourselves without realizing it sometimes.
Push the negative out and let the positive in.
Just a suggestion?

Just like you, I'm a ghost magnet. Staying out after dark increases my chance of seeing something and walking through a cemetary alone is the last thing in the world I feel like doing. The last time I walked into a cemetary, I got lost and had a conversation with what I thought was one of the caretakers. He showed me the way out and when I turned to thank him he was gone. I've also seen 2 shadow figures in the same graveyard and seen a man dressed in white walking along the tombstones only to dissappear when I turned to look at him a second time. Basically, I've seen it all. Floating heads, reflections in the mirror/window, hinotamas (fireballs believed to be the spirits of the dead), Madame Pele, the torches of Nightmarchers, shadow people, Faces out side my window (which is about 7 feet off the ground), vanishing caves, need I say more? I could but you probably wouldn't believe me. I could write a book on everything I've seen and I'm only a Freshman in Highschool. Sometimes I don't know if it's a blessing or a curse. Like my signature says, I see dead people half the time, the other half I'm running from them.

So,do you ever feel threatened by this phenomena? Or,is it simply something you are used too?Do you ever want to help any of them?Does anyone else in your family go through this?

I'm fascinated I've not had the same sort of experiences as you.I hope you'll take the time to answer those questions.-Thanx. [Shocked]

Well, nothing out of place happened around here on Halloween, but there were a couple unusual happenings in the days following - I'll make another post for that. [Wink]

Obake, does your family know what you've seen/experienced? If so, what is their reaction? It sounds to me that you could use a little support and perhaps guidance (i.e. how to block some of it out) from someone who has been through similar situations. A family member that also has the gift would be perfect. I'm not saying you can't handle it, I just sense that you're a bit uncomfortable with all of it, and rightly so. That's a lot for anyone to take in.

I'm curious about the fireball you saw. I saw what appeared to be a fireball - or was it ball lightning? - when I was about 12-13 years old. However, there was a thunderstorm taking place at the time. I woke during the night because of the storm and looked out my bedroom window to see the storm. While watching, a fireball about the size of a basketball appeared briefly - it seemed to be floating in mid-air, out in the street. It had 'tendrils' of lightning coming off of it as well. Is this at all similar to the one you've seen?

Sorry I've been a little busy. I signed up for the wrestling team in school so I've been training instead of posting. Anyway, yes I feel threatened. When your 10 years old and you see a man hanged in your backyard and then watch as the body and the audience vanish you tend to not want to wake up at 5 in the morning anymore. My family has been having WW3 so I tend to stay in my room. I don't need to come out and get yelled at. I'm the only one in my family that has anything happen to them and that fireball, it was a clear night and it actually appeared as this red ball of light that flew past my window. I read somewhere that it's the spirit of the dead but I've also read that it can sometimes signify death. Do you want to see a reflection of a skull underneath a blackhood looking at you in 4th grade after school in the health room? I could have sworn I was looking at the grim reaper. Do you want to dream about a woman with no feet and no face come into your room and try to choke you only to see the exact same woman float past your room while your fully awake? The reason she scares me is because she actually was about to choke me in my dreams and I see her weeks later outside my room still with no face. That is what makes her very unusual. I tend to see faces. I may not always see a full aparition but I'm gifted at seeing faces. My point is I'm freaked. I have no problems staring down someone 350 pounds but when it comes to spirit phenomona I'm usually the first running in the opposite direction.

Hi Obake,
I agree with Kell that having someone to talk to about these things helps, even when your as used to them as we are?
Obake, when you see things of this nature, close your eyes and surround yourself in white light, the brightest you can imagine. This is a positive energy and with you being evidently sensitive you can do it.
I think your picking up random things from everywhere right now, I used to do that when I was younger.
Keep positive thoughts going, good luck in wrestling by the way!
It sounds like there is some tension in your home also. Take a deep breath and relax. I know if you ask alot of people know alot of good reading materials to read to control this better.
Take care and if you need someone to chat with, here we all are?
Sending white light your way to help you Obake.
Hugs

It's kind of hard when you have "random" dead people calling your name or floating around places you need to go everyday to focus on something positive. In fact, about 10 minutes ago their was a spirit playing with my hose outside. I know the spirit is trying to get my attention because of the noise it's making (I'm the only one hearing it). I also know it's not a good spirit. Everytime I'm about to look out a window or open a door to look for it my gut says no (I've learned to trust my gut) and the smell of something burning hits my nostrils. It smells bad enough and strong enough that I aint planning on giving in anytime soon. It can make all the noise it wants but it can stay the heck alone out there. I don't plan on letting no ghost get rid of me. They've tried before but I'm not stupid enough to let them try again.

No luck wrestling ghosts huh?
What is your heritage as far as the melting pot goes? I think I can help you, as I'm sure others on this board can too, but only with protecting yourself. You will still see. You can make the effect it has on you lessen some though. And strenghten & quicken your natural defences.
The only way(that I know anyhow) to do it tho is to find out what is already linked to you & your personal history, the kind of history you may not have uncovered yet-your lineage.
Also there are things you may not know about some of your relatives that have passed away. People don't often repeat dead relatives paranormal experiences, because they either didn't believe them or didn't & don't understand. They are also kinda scary & deeply personal, may be painful to recount.
If you ever get time alone in your house, a house blessing does seem like a good idea. Negative energy in the home can add to a persons vulnerability. We all need shelter & places free from stress...Your bedroom may be the best place to start. A safe haven from activity, some peace.

The reason heritage is important, is because I believe that things like this can be handed down, just like the green eyes I got from Grandma. So what worked for them, or what they didn't realize they could tap into for protection comes from roots. Have you tried anything yet in that direction?
But, that's just what I've used for my own help. Opinions may differ. Either way if we don't hear from you again for a long time -Good Luck! I stand by my statement that silver has protective energies. Pegs' white light tip is a good one too.
My husband used to wrestle (he does Kung Fu now) & my dad, I have a few friends in it too. I dig the acrobatic part of it! So, I wish you good luck & times doing that. [Cool]

Obake, can't say I have had 1/10 of your experiences but I can certainly sympathize with the WW3 in the family. It is difficult not to have someone in the family who shares the same ability and can offer sympathy and support.

Besides being a natural ghost magnet, your age and your home situation make you more vunerable to all these random sightings. It is great that you have the wrestling to occupy you and definitely practice visualizing the protective white light around you and the areas. We will add our white light and support to yours.

Take care, Jeannie

hi obake, iv'e read about or watched on t.v. about the ghost\entities that are around hawaii that show up at night in peoples rooms trying to strangle them. i wonder if this is one of those things??? maybe there are some local books on this subject. i completely agree about surrounding yourself in white light. i have not seen caves before, but when i lived in california and would be driving out to see my dad in riverside, on certain trips i would see these huge mountains that i know were not supposed to be there [only way i can describe it] there are foothills that should be and are there, but on these other occasions i would see these huge mountains standing behind the foothills, i would just stare, and think am i losing my mind, this while driving down the freeway. but, i have to say, i know they were there, just as i know i was driving by them. im part cherokee indian, and psychics run in our family. my great or great, great grandmother was full blood indian and said to be a witch. this though i still have to research for much more details. i certainly beleive you should follow you gut insticnts. take care, michele

When my wife and I were first married we lived in the most haunted apartment on earth.Things would tap,tap on the walls all night long when my wife was alone in the apartment. As soon as I came home ,it would all stop. Then it started when I was home, right on the wall next to our bed ,while we were sleeping. It got worse and worse, until we finally moved into our new home. The tapping had an urgency to it.I didn't know how I knew this ,but I did.--------------One month later, the middle section- where we had lived-was hit by an arsonist. He burned the whole middle section right down to the ground!!!! Sometimes something is deperatetly trying to tell us -----you in danger girl!!(Don't walk that way home, bring someone real big along with you,or simply get out!) Not all paranormal events are without a redeeming message."look up ,from whense cometh your salvation" If you think it feels bad, simply say,"Go in peace"."Some things" are as afraid of us as we are of them. Everything desperately wants to "Be",and will fight as hard to preserve it self as you would fight to preserve yourself. Most things(animals,people,---monsters)would rather run ---if given an opening."Go in peace" gives them a place to run,---gives them a real big opening!

Greenfaeriequeen, what you are talking about is called the tie down ghost. I can rule that out as what I've seen for numerous reasons. 1. Even though the lady tried (or at least I think she did), she never choked me. 2. During a visit from the tie down ghost, you are always paralyzed which I wasn't. 3. The tie down ghost usually appears to a person as a big black shadow, or a full apparition. This ghost had no face and no legs. Thus, I have to say it was a mujina or a faceless ghost. A mujina appears solid, has no face, sometimes no legs, and has the ability to vanish and walk through walls. One trait of the mujina is that it always scares but never harms. It uses the fact that it has no face and sometimes no legs to terrify but it never harms anything. Even better, a mujina doesn't always stay in one place. It's a spirit with the ability to wander. It tends to find a place and settle down but if something happens to its spot, a mujina is known to actually find a new and similar spot.
I'm pretty sure there's something to my left reading over my shoulder. I can't see anything but I've been hearing footsteps and I feel something behind and to my left. Another little known fact about ghosts, sometimes they comeback when you tell a story about them to make sure that you make it sound good. I'm actually getting chicken skin (goosebumps) all over the left side of my body now. It's a strong spirit and I hope it's content with what I'm typing.
As for family roots, I can only trace as far back to the plantation days of Hawaii so that isn't of much help. The came to Hawaii from Japan so all I know is they worked on the plantations and my family history from that time till now. If it helps, I'm still the only one who see's things.

Obake,
Just sending you a crazy little Santa to cheer you up. Now, as I got older I started thinking that I was the only one that seen things, younger I thought everyone did? So, imagine my surprise when I found out. I went and talked to someone in my family I could really count on and that was my grandmother.
I can understand about writing about your ghosts, I just lost my mom 12 days ago and I sense she is watching my every word! Hence, I guess nobody earthly or spiritually wants to be talked about badly. LOL
You seem well read so you must have some idea about how to create your own protective force around you and your home.
I will stand behind getting positive energy into your life to overcome the negative.
Connie has listed a fine list of home blessings. There are many things you can do. One for instance is to ask your Gaurdian Angel or Spiritguide for direction.
Wishing you the best!

Psychic Self Defence a Study in Occult
by Dion Fortune
___________________________________________

I'm sure if you hunt online for it you'll find it. Or perhaps you've got some decent stores where your at. If I come up with anything else I'll let you know.

So does that make your ancestry Japanese? I put that the wrong way in the last post. While I believe everyone has some natural psychic sixth sense & can choose whether or not to try to build it. In many cases where there is as much activity as your experience, there is generally a catalyst-
( near death experience, coma, someone elses death, head trauma.)
In my case finding out my roots helped guide me to a more positive experience with the paranormal. And through some VERY dark times. I still have random creepy things happen to me alot.
Recently,I was driving home from work at 3am and a man stepped off the curb in front of my car as I was getting to the overpass...Whether he was drunk or not...He had a maniacal grin on his face...I almost hit him. He looked me right in the eye too! It was like he wanted me to hit him! I did not stop. [Shocked]

Obake, I've decided that I don't know squat & I already established that I have never experienced the same type of phenomena you have. Age allows me to smile as I write that-(I don't know squat).
I have been under psychic attack & had to learn to build defenses.
I do believe that the same sorts of protection could help you to coexist w/ the ghosts alot better. But, only you can know what is right for you.
I wish you luck & peace in your haunted existence.
=) & I still look forward to reading your posts.

Hahahah! I've done it! Being a little sensitive and with all the stuff going on I've been freaking out. I've literally been scared to walk by myself anywhere at night. Hallowseve recommended I do a little reading on the Occult but I know enough to never dabble in that stuff ever. Instead, I found a site for people like me who think they are losing it! Here's the link and thanks for all the help you guys (and/or gals)! http://helpforsensitives.com/[/URL]

Sigh*...Misunderstood once again.Do I really seem like a person that wants you to do something destructive?
I'm glad you found a way to help yourself. That book was meant as a way to protect yourself, however, not a suggestion to run off & become a moonie & drink poison punch! Shhheeeessssh!

Gee, is that a section on psychic self defense in the site you found? Where have I seen that phrase before....Hmmmm, could it have been in a book title? [Nutty]

I'm a little sensitive too,it would have been nice to hear that while it may not have been the perfect book for you, it was, in its way, on the right track & a geniune effort to help you find the help you sought.

Best luck & wishes for a safe & happy New Year! =)
Have a fun & peaceful holiday kiddo! [Rainbow Smiley]
