Has anyone used a UV Light source (Blacklight) while taking pics on a ghost hunt? I am wanting to experiment using different light sources ... to see if anything has an effect on orbs. If anyone has tried this ... could you post your results?
Thanks,
Alan

PS
Another idea that I think might be neat to try... especially where there are ghosts who love to drain batteries.... Wonder how they would react to one of those Static globes ... like you can get at Radio Shack? One of those devices that you touch and the charge follows your fingers... Just curious?

Well, Alan, I tell ya what, when I get sick of winter (I am already) and decide to pack all the stuff and head to Florida (I'm really thinking about it at this point) I'll bring my black light along on your next ghost hunt. I guess we'd have to have our ghost hunt where there's an outlet nearby. =)

It is an interesting possibility. For grins one night I put the black light on and tried my Handycam under its light, and it picked it up but it's not as sensitive to the UV as it is to infrared, so I guess you'd need a more UV-sensitive camera, or hope your ghosties glow white under a black light.

Kevin,
First of all you don't have to hunt very hard down here (in FL) to find them. Second I have been doing a little research on L.E.D.s. there are some high output UV LED's available and IR LEDs ... I am thinking about when I get some exta cash to try and build a portable camera mounted array ... switchable and combinable of UV and IR LED's Battery powered, all in one unit. I just have to brush up on my electronics tinkering. LOL

A little too much electronic lingo for me [Laughing] But...if either one of you try any of this let us know how it goes and what results you've gotten!

Hmmm I know the charge stays within the globe ... but when you place your finger to the globe the charge reacts to it ... so I was just thinking if you have a globe and no one is around it and it starts acting weird on its own ... could there be a ghostie touching it? ... ooooo how about one of those arching machines with the two rods sticking way up and the charge that archs between them ... like in all the old Frankenstien movies... darn too many ideas too little cash and time.
