Hey Yall:

Well, I'm back from my trip to PA, and I am soooo excited. I took my digital cam to Gettysburg and for the first time, I captured anomalies! I have orbs in almost every picture I took. They were taken at night and the only light was from my flash. I was astounded when I got back to my friend's house and put them on the pc. If I had been able to see all of the spirit activity around me with the naked eye, I doubt I would have stayed there too long. [Laughing] There is a large orb at the base of a cannon near the cemetary and you can see the belt worn across the chest on the uniform and you can also see the man's face! At Devils Den, I jokingly told my friend that I was going to conjur up some "good ol' boys" from the south, and I was quietly humming the tune "Dixie." I snapped a pic, and wow, was I amazed when I saw the bluish smokey fog which appeared to be rising from the ground. I didn't see it until I got back and loaded the pics on the computer. We spent an hour in the darkness at the Triangular Field, and suddenly we could hear the sound of footsteps approaching. At that point, I was more than ready to run, but I snapped a couple of pics in that direction before I took flight. The result was several orbs, one small bright green one, that when you zoom in on it, it looks like an eyeball! [Shocked] I think it followed us, because it showed up in several other pics taken at different locations after that. I feel certain that "he" was the culprit that scared the bejesus out of me. Creepy, creepy.... There is also a picture on the square in Gettysburg with an orb located near the bottom in the center of the pic. My friend was a skeptic; and, needless to say now he is a believer! And me... well, I always knew there were ghosts and spirits, and I am just totally twitterpated... now I have proof of my own. Please view my pics and give me your feedback. Enjoy!!

Thats first time I have seen belted orbs ... there is also a belted orb behind the tree on the right at the Den. Interesting... hmmm? I want to go back to gettysburg so bad I can't see straight. I was there about 3 years ago ... but did not have a digital cam at the time ... but I also did not know you could be in the park at night.

I'm assuming the belt is that of a uniform, not really sure, but I looked up civil war uniforms on the net and that sure is what it looks like to me. Maybe someone with more experience with this than me knows something about them. The visitors center closes at 5 p.m. and they close the cemetery gates. But the park itself is open until 10 p.m. And I know how u feel, I wanna go back too. But my next expedition will be Andersonville (the civil war prison in GA) It's closer to home. =)

Those are great pictures Savannah! I've never seen a belted orb either, that's so interesting. I love Gettysburg! My husband and I have been there a few times. I wish I had known that the park was open after dark. We always thought (although I'm not sure why) that it closed at dusk. Now I can't wait to go back and get some pictures at night. The last picture of the house with the Christmas lights is beautiful!

I've posted 2 more pics that have a strange anomaly in them... they are at the same url listed above. I took 81 pics in all at Gettysburg, and at least 70 of them have anomalies in them... no way can I post them all, but check out the 2 newest and give me some feedback. [Wink]

Hi,
I liked your pictures. I go to Gettysburg all the time and am probably the Gettysburg expert on the board. I absolutely adore the place and visit a few times a year at least. I always have experiences and great pictures everytime. Did you get any pictures of the Sach's Bridge? That is always a hot spot. I love the Irish monument with the dog and that has to be my favorite monument in the whole park. I am glad you had a great experience.
take care

In the very first pic (cannon) if you look at the belted orb it looks like there is the lower part of a face directly above it. Actually as part of the orb though, but going above it just a bit. It looks like a chin moustache and nose, exactly where the head would be if the belt were from a uniform. It even looks like a scarf around the neck. I think it looks more viseable than in the negative version (which I see has been added since I first looked =) )Very very interesting.

Great pics! Found this one (re-enactor at Gettysburg) to compare to the belted orbs:
 -

As you can see, it`s actually a strap holding his canteen. Very interesting...

Thank you, Loner for posting the Civil War re-enactor photo. I sent Berksghosthunter some of my pics, as he couldn't get them to enlarge. He confirmed that he also has never seen an orb quite like that before, and said there is also a strap worn on the uniforms of some of the Confederate officer's uniforms. I'm just delighted that "the ghost" decided to show himself to me, so clearly! Being a southern gal from Georgia, I have a great respect for civil war history and the good old boys of the Confederacy, as well as all of the men who fought and lost their lives for what they believed in, both north and south. Slavery was wrong, and it is a pity that it took such a huge tragedy and loss of young lives in this country to have that realized. The weekend after New Years, I'm headed to Andersonville, GA. The prison which held Union soldiers, and was the most deplorable, dispicable place for prisoners of war during the War Between the States. Hoping to get some EVP's and some great pics to share with yall. Thanks so much for everyone's interest in my Gettysburg experience.
