Hi everyone I thought this was a wonderful viewpoint on ghosts. Excerpt taken from the British Druidic Order - by Greywolf. I wanted to post it because I like the idea of helping earthbound souls get free.

Some out-of-the-body experiences in my teens proved for me beyond doubt that consciousness is capable of functioning without a physical frame. It seemed logical to conclude that the death of the body need not be the end of existence. Curiously, by no means all who die realise this. There are spirits who cling to places they inhabited in life, endlessly reliving echoes from their mortal existence in the belief that they are still alive. Some are unable to release into the experience of death simply because they are so conditioned in the belief that death equals oblivion that they refuse to accept its reality. We experience them as ghosts. Others are aware that they are no longer in body, but still cling to their earthly haunts because of some trauma experienced in life that will not let them move on, or because their own emotions, whether of love or hatred, bind them to this world. When we find such souls, our sympathy may lead us to work with them, teasing out the threads that bind them, helping them to find the will to cut those threads and release into the freedom and beauty that is to be found in letting go.

Is that one druids belief or the druids religious philisophy?

The excerpt sounds like he is making a statement of personal belief.

It's always nice to learn about a religions positive attitude towards anything.

(Oops! [Embarrassed] - Ok I edited!)
Nakis, when I stuck it in here I meant to put A Druidic view on ghosts. Druids are something that up until I got my PC, I really couldn't find information enough on them to study. There is not very much to be found at the local library on the subject.
I'm still slowly learning about Druids...

In my experience, nuggets of knowledge can be obtained even from beggars, thieves, & all manner of miscreant.
I wanted to present the above passage for what it is, a nugget of knowledge that I whole-heartedly agree with. When I was reading it I got excited, because to me, it just sounds so right.
It was not meant to be a plug for a religion,or to speak for all who are involved in said religion, & I could have put it in more general terms-like, A View on Ghosts...Thats what I get for surfing & posting at like 3, 4 O'clock in the morning-LOL. I did remember to put that it was written by Greywolf...
Anyhow, I'd like to think that anyone who had the opportunity would help a tortured soul to move on to the next stage of its existence.
That was a good question ,Nakis, & one I'd be liable to ask myself. =)
