You should definitely go check it out before its to late. Rumor has it that they are going to begin tearing more of the buildings down this Spring.

I don't know if you read my write-ups about it on my site, but it really is a spooky place. It was the first large scale place I ever explored and it gave me a very strange feeling after we finished. Lots of bad energy there for sure.

I've always gone with at least one person, but I bet it would be downright frightening to go there by yourself.

OMG, I could never go there by myself. My imagination would totally get the best of me. [Thud!]

I did read your write up on your site. The pictures are awesome btw. I'm definitely thinking about giving it a go sometime in the near future. Maybe [Wink] I'm a big chicken when it comes to that kind of stuff, as cool as I think it would be to see. I'll have to get my courage up.

I can totally see it giving you a strange feeling. Like I said before, with so much pent up emotion going through that place when it was up and running, there still has to be some of that left. UGH! I read the story of the nurse that had worked there. I can't believe how these people were treated, there was so much bad energy there to begin with it's unbelievable.

It certainly is an interesting place to say the least. I've been to a lot of abandoned places since I began my web site, and none of them are as creepy as Byberry.

If you do go check it out, I would advise bringing a friend and be careful. It is a dangerous place, my friend had a nail go through his foot last time we were there...all the way through and out the top...ouch.

I read about that on your site. How is his foot btw? Ouch is right!

I would definitely bring someone with me. There is no way that I would go there alone. Especially because I don't really know the area all that well. Thinking it would be a good idea to get a look at it during the day, maybe walk around the grounds a bit.

I'd definitely love to see it though, time pending of course. Things have been crazy around here lately. You said that they were going to start tearing down more of the buildings in the spring, do you know if they are definitely going to do that? I may not be able to make it until closer to spring. We'll see though.

Actually, I haven't seen him since that day, but I spoke to him on AIM and he said he is ok. He really did scare the crap out of me though the way he was screaming [Eek Smile]

Anyway, I heard they are tearing Byberry down in the Spring, but I also hear that they say that every year. I really don't know if it's gonna happen or not for sure. Supposedly the demolition is going to cost upward of 60 million because they have to clean up all the asbestos first. Yikes!

On a side note, I asked on a few other boards about the fog I captured in one of my pictures and the orbs in another. Unlike this board, some people are very rude when it comes to "Ghostly" photos. People accused me of maybe trying to fake the photos on one board! I just wanted opinions and I got people mad at me =(

Like I said, I'm new to all this ghost stuff, so thanks to all of you for your patience!

I have to agree with Kevin. Everyone on this board has such an open mind is always so willing to help. This is really a great place...I know I'm glad I found it. [Wink]

Hey John! Sorry I'm so late in getting to this....

Regarding the misty pic, I just had a good look at it in Photoshop. Although faint, I say you have some real ecto mist there - not breath, steam, etc. But did you take a temperature reading in the building, by chance?

The same goes for the Byberry orb/mist pic. Looks genuine to me! I've found that orbs will sometimes accompany mist in photos, but I'm not sure why. I do know - from personal experience - that ecto mist has a condensation/wetness to it. You can smell it and feel its heaviness, if you're fortunate enough to 'encounter' it. Very strange to walk through. [Shocked] (I had an experience once where mist was hovering over my bed - while I was in it! - and to get out of the room (yah, it scared me [Laughing] ), I had to walk through it, hence, being able to feel and smell it as well.)

I'm sorry other boards have been less than gracious to you and your photos. [Sigh] I thank you for sharing them with us. [Wink]

Keep up the good work - and be careful out there!
