Ever look in your rearview mirror See a car, then one or two seconds later look back and--- Puff!!!! No car! ,and----no where was there for a car to turn! Now this has happened to me so many times (only just last week)that I wondered if others hadn't had the same thing happen---or worse. When your on a road that has woods on one side ,with no way to make a left or right turn and the car behind you comes roaring up on your tale then suddenly disappears, this could give rise to some serious self examination! Are there any brave souls out there (kell-kell,carrie,gettysburgperson,mad dog jack,)who might have an answer? Or is there an answer?

I have but to be honest I haven't paid that much attention to it. A similar thing that I have noticed that always catches me off guard though happens whenever I shop in our local mall. Most of the stores have glass fronts so as you are walking along you see the reflections of the other shoppers in the mall. Typically I notice the reflection first and then look to see what the person really looks like because, given the nature of the glass, sometimes the reflection is distorted. Occasionally though, I'll see the reflection in the glass and look up and the person reflected is nowhere to be seen. Once I saw the reflection of a young black male wearing a white tee-shirt and looked over to see him (the real him) peeling off a sweatshirt to reveal a white tee-shirt. (Yes the mall does have a reputation for being haunted)

Hi everyone,
This actually happened last night and it was a first.
Something slammed into my house, I mean it sounded like something landed on it! BIG!
Since our last go-around with uninvited guests I have put into place some, lets say detractors from anything just coming in and hanging around.
I really thought a meteor came in, in the morning I checked everything out and couldn't find a thing that would have made that big of a noise.
No, it surely wasn't the house settling! LOL
For many years, I just let whomever hang around? Found out that's not such a good idea. Earlier this year we had an infestation of spirits in the home for a couple months. To me that was better than spiders, but hubby demanded I do something about them. They were bothering him, not me?
I beleive my house was attacked last night, it's the only way I can put it. They didn't succeed!
Hugs,
Piggerita

Throughout all my life I've only had one strange experience with a car. On a school field trip, we were crossing the street two cars collided about 20 feet from the crosswalk. Of all the places I had to be, it was in the middle of the dang crosswalk. The first car went straight forward while the other decided to go right through the middle of the crosswalk (I have such good timing). After that moment things get a little fuzzy. I remember my knees locking up and everyone except me just scrambling. The next thing I remember is flying through the air and landing just to the side of the car as it came through. I know I didn't jump and there was no way anybody had anytime to throw me and then dodge a car going 35mph. My only answer? Two years later I'm talking to my great grandmother when she mentions an aunt I never met. I believe her name was Aunt Jane. After doing a little more talking I found out that she died when a car hit her and then ran into a tree. Did Aunt Jane decide to pay a visit to a nephew she never met? Was it a guardian angel that thinks I still have something to do in my near future? These are questions I'll never know the answers too. I'll just let you decide.

Wow, that's a great story about your aunt! While I haven't seen cars, I sometimes see people standing along the road (yah?!?!?! on a thruway!!??)I have to do a 'second take' to make sure it isn't a pole, or a sign, or something concrete. Usually they're gone by the time I look back. I'm learning to become more aware so I can catch them the first time!
Peg, I see that you posted here also. Have you thought of getting yourself a 'house cleaner'! =)
