My wife and I went to St Augustine today .. and passed several Ghost tours ... One claiming to include the "only certified haunted" Building, The old Spanish Hospital. We walked all over the city got worn out way before dark and decided to come home... besides I have misplaced my large memory card for my camera. I was using a small 8 mb card which greatly limited my picture quality versus quanity of pics. We toured the San Marcos Fort ...I got awlfully frustrated by all the people there.. seemed everytime I tried to snap a pic kids would dart in front of the camera.. I figured with all this activity there would be dust orbs galore.. yet when I got home and checked the images only one had an orb... the one shot I got of the only open Powder Magazine in the fort. I snapped a few of the cemeteries and got nothing unusual. Does anyone know of the best tour to take ? Or are they all just gimicks?

Hi! some of them are pretty bogus-like the one on the boat or the pub tour......although I do know about a former pub being haunted. I think the best tour is the one where they give you meters and it is run by a parapsychologist- dont know the nae of the tour. you can find it online i am sure. oh sorry this is soo late- you are most likely home by now. been awful tired and dont get online. been sorta sick and i do apologize. sundog

Hi Alan... I've been to St Augustine a number of times. So much to see and do there. I responded to your "posting some pics" post in the greatroom and added a few pics I had on the pc of St Augustine. It's a very very old city, and like Savannah, it has its ghost stories and its ghosts... some real and some just make a good tale. St. Augustine is a great place to vacation, that's for sure. =)

Sundog Yes I am back home ... but no worries I can be back in St Augustine in less than an hours drive .. As I live in Daytona. Do you happen to remember which tour gives you meters to use? A hint of the name? I will going back soon ... as soon as I update my camera equipment... at least a better flash.

I live up in middleburg now- about 46 miles NW of auggietown but I am down there a lot.
