Ok, I suppose this would fall under astrology, right [Confused]

I thought we could see the southern cross from somewhere here in the U.S. but everything I'm finding seems to be saying otherwise. Yikes, the links I found were way too technical for me! I just want to see it once in my life and was hoping I wouldn't have to travel a million miles.

Can one of you smart people tell me where do I go to see it [Big Grin]

Hi Cindy... I've always wanted to see the Southern Cross too. From what I understand, it can be seen every night from New Zealand. If you want to see it from the United States, you should be south of 27 degrees N latitude. Supposedly you can see it from the tip of Florida, (in the Florida Keys) in May. But, it barely shows over the treetops and then disappears in the southern horizon. They also say it can be seen fairly well from Hawaii. I'm not sure where you live, but more than likely, if you want to see it really well, you're going to have to travel. [Sigh] For now... I thought I'd bring the Southern Cross here for you =)

Awww that was so sweet of you Savannah! Isn't it beautiful! New Zealand, that's not anywhere near Ohio is it [Wink]

If I ever get to see it, I want to be somewhere that I can see it clearly, not a glimpse. Well, who knows, maybe one day?

Thanks for the picture =)

Hehehe, I've always wanted to see the Southern Cross too. From aboard a sailing ship. Out on the ocean.

If it makes you feel any better Cindy, New Zealanders (and everyone else from the southern hemisphere) can't see Polaris (NorthStar).

Thanks for the picture Savanah. In color too. =)
