Hi Cindy... I've always wanted to see the Southern Cross too. From what I understand, it can be seen every night from New Zealand. If you want to see it from the United States, you should be south of 27 degrees N latitude. Supposedly you can see it from the tip of Florida, (in the Florida Keys) in May. But, it barely shows over the treetops and then disappears in the southern horizon. They also say it can be seen fairly well from Hawaii. I'm not sure where you live, but more than likely, if you want to see it really well, you're going to have to travel.
