Hello Everyone..
I'm new to this board, but I am so happy to have found it.
I grew up in a house that I believe is haunted.When I was young and still lived there I saw a dark form at the foot of my bed more than once.Scared me!!! My Mother has seen a woman dressed in old fashioned clothes that she believes is her Grandmother, and my Aunt has seen a dark form with flickering lights? Lights will flicker off and on and go totally out at times, and footsteps can be heard upstairs when no one is there. Interesting house! I just reciently was talking to someone that told me to look online at the pics people had posted of Orbs and such. Then I began looking through pictures I had taken at this house. My Mom and Aunt, both in their 70's, still live there. Anyway, I realized I had pictures that might contain Orbs, and even a couple that have a shadow and a couple that have a white fog.
So what I am asking is for you to look at a few of these pictures and give me your opinion on them. The one titled Sisters are my 2 daughters. It was taken at my grandsons birthday party, and many other pics were taken in that same area, and within minutes of one another, but this is the only one with the dark shaddow.. the othe 2 Basement 1 has what looks like orbs? and basement 2 was taken approx.5-10 seconds later. Hi NiteMyst, welcome to SpiritKeep. Like you I discovered this board and love it. Lots of open minds here, and several folks who enjoy checking out pictures (me being one of them).

Your pictures look interesting. All of them show orbs, but note that orbs in pictures can be caused by dust. Especially if there are several or a ton of orbs in a picture, a lot of times this turns out to be dust or moisture. The most convincing orbs are ones that appear to be moving. For example, in your first basement pic, there is a pinkish/red orb in the bottom left area of the picture that appears to be moving. It's great when you can have two pictures taken one after the other, since that makes it easier to figure out if orbs are dust or not. I'm thinking at least some of the orbs in the basement are real.

The "dark shadow" in the sisters pic is interesting. It's hard to say what that is for certain, but a non-paranormal cause could be a camera strap or wayward finger in front of the lens. I notice there are a couple of orbs visible in the shadow area. I would think that a stray strap/finger would block orbs or dust images, so it's possible you caught something for real in that picture.

Since you say you have activity in the house, I wouldn't be surprised if some of your pictures have orbs or unusual effects. I suggest you post some more pictures, especially the one with the mist/fog you mentioned.

Do you, or anyone else in your house have strange feelings in the house or in the basement? Feelings of someone there, or a disoriented sensation? Do you feel cold spots or anything like that? Those are also commonly reported in haunted locations.

Well, I took your shadow pic & isolated the topmost orb, auto fixed the levels & blew it up, also adjusted contrast & brightness...I found a little face in it.
I'm not sure about this part, maybe someone can help. View the shadow photo. After that lil bit of tinkering I noticed that the edges of the shadow are irregular in shape. Unless something in the way was throwing the shadow, is that typical?

Thanks for the comments.... I will try to enlarge the orb and see if I can see what you did. I can tell you that there was definatly nothing casting a shadow on the wall when I was taking those pics. I had taken several during approx. 10 min that evening, and that one, and one other, which I will post now, were the only ones with the shadow in them. The one posted first was taken first ..the one of Melody and her daughter was taken less than 1 min later in the same spot. pic2[/URL]

I have a question for you about the basement pics? On the left side, is that a mist or some plastic or something hanging there? I thought I saw something in that area, but I wasn't sure what I was looking at. I looked at the first pics that you sent in and did some cropping and enlarging. I also posted the picture of the possible orb/face which Hallowseve enhanced. I posted the pics that I enlarged/cropped also. If that is a piece of plastic hanging there, then what I'm seeing could be a reflection of something. Anyway, I put them here so other SpiritKeepers that know more than I do can take a look and maybe give you their opinion? There was no plastic or anything that could have reflected what you are seeing in the pic. So it possibly is a mist. I plan to go back and take more pics next week, I will let you know if I have anything interesting.

You're very welcome Nite. Like I said, I'm no expert by a long shot, and a lot of times, people will see different things in pics. Maybe some other SpiritKeep peeps will give their "take" on these. Looking forward to seeing more of your pics.
