Ok, I never really took astrology seriously. Until I joined SpiritKeep, & Nakis made a post about it & Grumpieones' reply got the ole cogs moving.
I looked & looked on the net. For an actual free site to find my rising sign...Not much luck, as I don't want to be spammed by giving them all sorts of information.
I got my exact birth time...Then also I found out there is a moon sign too?
Anyway, I was wondering if someone on the board wouldn't mind helping me find out what it is. I could send a private message with the details if anyone is interested.
I never could figure, by what I've read, how a Gemini could find true love w/ a Scorpio & why I'm a mostly anti-social homebody. I'm defintely a bundle of nerves though, high-strung like a cat!
I would really appreciate someone helping me expand my knowledge in this area. =)
Before anyone starts thinking I should get a book & do it myself, I tried in the past. I don't know if I'm dyslexic or what, but when it comes to #s' & charts, I'm just not that good at that stuff. =(

I know what you mean about the spam. [deletedeletedelete...arrgh! blocksenderblocksender]

The books are good for signs that have a w i d e window before they change like sun signs and moon signs. For the others, books can be confusing especially the charts. I have put in hours only to discover that my horoscope would be accurate only if I were living in Europe or Australia. [Confused]
I'm not quite adept enough at the math to be able to convert to my particular lattitude/longitude. So I cheated...

I went to Best Buy and picked up some Snap software. It's called Horoscope Interpreter . I caught it on sale to boot so it cost less than $5 (usually runs around $9). It's dead easy and leads you by the hand working everything out. THEN you can go to the books with your chart already in hand and get more in depth info on what all those little squiggles mean.

Keep in mind astrology is NOT etched in stone. So when you read something like someone with your particular sign should not possibly be able to tolerate someone with your partner's sign, it doesn't mean the relationship is impossible. It just means you have issues and different ways of looking at/reacting to things that you will have to work through. DUH, as if relationships weren't like that anyway...

Astrology is a strange beast.
I have been told many things by many people and most are not the same as each other, very contradictive.
Making predictions from start charts is another thing, one can say this and another will say that.
Its a very wide subject.
My star sign is Aries and I think my compatible is Libra, having said that my wife is Libra.
Hmmmm most odd I ended up with a Libra and I love her to bits, but I have found that Scorpio is real bad for me as the past has proven, twice over in fact.
Not sure if Scorpio is bad for Aries?? or it was just my bad luck?
So I am not sure, not certain as what to say.

Mike.....

Thanks so much you guys! Grumpieone, that's wonderful advice! I didn't know they made something for that.
And D.O. it's good to know I'm not the only one it has confused like that.
I've said it before & I'll say it again, SpiritKeep rocks! [Wink]

Hello,
Just in case it helps, I have studied astrology. The actual course name was Astrology and Paraphyscology(?spelling?). I have gotten as far as the palm reading and now I am stuck. As soon as I get back into the studies I will finish the course.
I have completed the astrology part. Grade average is 99%.
If I can be of any help, please let me know.

Thanx very much HB,& Tana. I had a friend offer to do it for me, so I'm all set now.
HB, it's ok to put addys in here, no worries.
Tana, wow! Astrology and Paraphyscology...fascinating! Palm reading is interesting too.I went through some earth shattering experiences a few yrs back & I remember wondering if there was any significance to the fact that both palms peeled.Very interesting, I can't wait to see the things you both contribute to the board. =)

Hello people!

I must agree, astrology is strange... Being a quite scientific-minded person I have a really hard time accepting that it works. It's just that I know form personal experience that it can be eerily accurate! But I guess it depends a lot on who is interpreting the horoscope, I mean it probably helps a lot if the astrologist is of the sensitive kind...

A little experience from last autumn... I was going through a minor crisis, I had to make a very hard decision that would affect my life heavily. I went to church on Sunday, hoping to hear something that would help. The minister told a story, that I immediately felt was related to my situation. But, the advice given scared the hell out of me, it was not what I was hoping for. So I kept telling myself I was misinterpreting it, it didn't apply to me etc etc. So I went home and made the opposite choice.
The next day I couldn't get out of bed, I was more or less having a nervous breakdown. My mom, thank God for her, sent me straight to an astrologist she knew. (And this from a mom who's actually a psychologist... She's one of a kind).
The astrologist(who also reads tarot), to my great surprise, repeated what had been said in church almost WORD BY WORD. And she did NOT know about it in advance. After this I couldn't close my eyes for the obvious, I had to change my mind and do what I had been told by both the minister and the astrologist although it scared me. Now,half a year later, I'm grateful that I did that, this choice was definately the right one.

oh, this became quite a long post, sorry...
