I was just wondering if anybody has heard of or seen the toyenbee tiles. We have them here in Pittsburgh and I am very curious about them. I know that whenever the city removed them they were replaced by the next day. I also know that they are popping up all around the globe. They say that the dead will be resurrected in Jupiter and they also mention Stanley Kubrik and 2001 space odessey(Don't mind my spelling). The tiles are not urban legends because I have seen them. There are about 6 sets of these tiles in downtown Pittsburgh.

Oh Wow, Yall! I looked at the links provided on this, and I realized I saw the one on South Street in Philly. I didn't think anything of it at the time, nor did I realize these were in a lot of different places. I just thought it was something cool put there on South Street for whatever. [Laughing] Very weird and very interesting. Looks like Philadelphia has quite a few of these. I just wonder how they get there without anyone seeing whoever is doing it. Things that make ya say, "hmmmmmmmm..." [Confused]

This is the first I heard about. Of course I live in a one horse town and she left last week because she was lonely.

It doesn't sound terribly mysterious to me. No offense, I don't like to put down anyones beliefs as long as they don't hurt anyone because kookiness is in the eye of the beholder, but this one feels very kooky.
We know Jupiter is a gas giant. The most sophisticated ship we could build wouldn't last long after penetrating it's outer gas sphere never mind find anything remotely solid to land on. Colonizing moons is also next to impossible without the most sophisticated artificial environments. And if I'm not mistaken Jupiter emits some types of radiation that is harmful to humans. Or is that Neptune?

Now about the dead walking? Cloning could be the explanation for that.

I think that the fact that these tiles are global and all basicaly showed up over night are pretty mysterious. They all showed up at the same time. I compare them to crop circles only because no one knows who put them there. I concede that there are probably no supernatural implications with these tiles but I find them extremely interesting none-the-less. What are the odds that a group of people spanning the world, would take part in this and then keep quiet about it. These tiles have been around for about 20 years and no one knows anything about them.

I find that interesting too. I can't imagine being downtown even in the middle of the night,& nobody noticing me welding or sticking something to the pavement. I saw some reference about monoliths on jupiter, but now I can't remember where I saw it. Neat topic though, thanx. [Cool]

What's really cool/weird about these tiles are that they are embedded in cement. The roads would have to be dug up in order for these tiles to lay the way they do. And still no one has seen anything concerning them.

I wonder if anyone has asked the homeless? If anyone were likely to notice that they would. Not all of em' are nuts...They tend to pay attention to different things than the rest of us...More time on thier hands, less warm, comfy places to go. =(

I never even thought of that. What a great idea. I've found various web sites concerning these tiles but none of them even mentioned questioning the homeless. I will definitely follow through on that idea.
