Hi all I'm new and wanted to tell you a story of what happened to a freind and myself while we were ghost hunting in a local cemetary. It was just the 2 of us, both female, and it was around 9:30 - 10:00 at night so there was no body else around. We had been to this cemetary before but hadnt really explored all of it. This particular cemetary has 2 sides to it. It has a older side then across the street is the new stones. We have been researching veterans graves so we are basically interested in the older ones. My father was a big civil war buff so I'm really interested in those people that served in the civil war. Anyway, we were on the older side and had been filming and recording, taking notes etc, when we came to the right side of the cemetary. My girlfrind was trying to figure out what a particular stone said, it was hard to make out since this person had past in 1864 and the stone is very weathered. Well I was over a couple stones trying to read another stone and when she finally figured it out it was my hubby's ( and mine by marriage) last name. Spelled exactly the same and everything which is weird cause its not a common name. Anyways, when we got home we listened to the recording we had made and we freaked cause you can clearly hear a mans voice saying something. The really weird part is that when this guy talked was when my friend was standing in front of the stone with my hubby's ( and mine now) last name on it. You can hear this guy say something( I would rather not say what I think it says cause I dont want to influence anybody) then you hear my freind saying the name of the stone cause she finally figured it out. We have researched this person at the local clerks office to try and find a birth or death record and we cant find anything. We have been researching census records for months and have hit a brick wall as to who this person was. I dont know how to post the pics or EVP's so if someone can let me know how I would really appreciate it since I want your opinions. Thanks guys.

Thanks Carrie I will email Kell with the EVP's . As far as this person being in the civil waar, he wasnt .He was 63 years old when he passed so he would have been to old to have served. And actually we arent even sure this is a male because the name on the stone says J.A. just the intials. We kinda lean towards it being a man because of the voice we heard but we arent sure. I hope to get the pics and EVp's up soon so you can see it and hear it. I have another story and EVP that I would like to post as well. Thanks again for your help.

I figured out how to add the pic that goes with this story so here it is. You may have to zoom in on it to read it. tombstone pic[/URL]

** Just changing the pic to a link so it doesn't stretch the board out. [Wink] Kell

Great story Ceri!

I could definately hear the word "black" but could not make out the rest. Have you been back to the cemetary since? [Gasp]

Hi Tybee

Yes we have been back a couple of times, most recently this last Sat. but havent captured anything else on tape. When you listen to the EVp the last thing you hear is my freind saying my last name, Blackmer. The voice comes somewhat before this and sounds to me like its saying " get then a sigh then out and another loud sigh. We have a digital recorder arriving any day and will go back with it to see if we can get anything else.

Hi hallowseve
I cant really say I feel scared or anything when I'm there but at this particular cemetary I do feel that someone is trying to get our attention.
