I am not a Martha Stewart fan... never have been. She makes a living making all of us average "hate to do housework/gardening" folks feel so inadequate. [Laughing] I actually have a sign by my front door that says. "Martha Stewart doesn't live here... and that's good thing." Anyway, she was found guilty on all 4 counts today. Let's face it, the woman isn't stupid or she wouldn't have made the career and the money she has. Plus, it's a well-known fact how mean and insensitive she is to people around her. The sentencing isn't until March 17th, so who knows if she will actually serve any jail time. If she does, they said she will be in a protective custody type thing. I reckon they think the inmates might wanna steal her designer K-Mart sheets off of her cot. Hey, maybe they can put her to work in the kitchen at the prison, making all her gourmet recipes for the inmates.(Betcha she can't do it without her staff) I know, I know... I'm bad and in a punchy mood today. It's just that it's time the rich and famous start paying for their wrongdoings. We'll see... as we say in the south... what goes under the cows belly comes up around it back... (I'll let yall think on that one) hehe

Well, if she was found guilty on all four counts, I am sure that it is probably the way it should be. I think jurors try to be as fair as they can, and they must use the guidelines the judge gives them for deciding guilt or innocence. I, too, am sick and tired of the rich being able to buy their way out of jail. That is just plain wrong. If they do the crime, they should do the time, just like ordinary people have to. I was never a Martha Stewart 'fan' per se, but I certainly started to dislike her when I found out how she treated people around her. She reminded me of Leona Helmsley... the Queen of Mean!

I would guess that that old Southern saying probably is based on wisdom and truth! =)

Well, I was wondering if anyone was going to comment on this subject today. I've had such a sucky week that I was just hoping to take it out on ol' Martha. So Martha-"nanner nanner boo boo!"
I still bet she never sees the inside of a jail cell. I figure her lawyers will just keep appealing until she dies of old age. I loved the comment about putting her to work in the prison kitchen! LMAO!
I was trying to think of Leona Helmsley's name earlier this week because that is EXACTLY who she reminds me of, too. Yuck!

I personally think that she was guilty I mean how stupid was she to do that and then think she would get away with it? My om on the other hand is outraged at the sheer injustice of it all...whaaaaa!

She'll never see the inside of a jail cell or, if she does it will be on e of those posh cells that only the rich and famous crooks "deserve" [Thud]

I've heard quite a few people who are sympathetic towards her, Geraldo Rivera for one. Even Dominique Dunn, which really surprised me. However, if they were one of the many "average" people that lost $30,000 or more when she sold her stock... I doubt they'd be so forgiving. I know I wouldn't. [Laughing]
