Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knew about some of the housing on Ft Leiws, Wa. I just moved here, and some really strange things are going on. I've talked with my neighbors (our houses are connected) and they are having the same things in thier houses. I cannot find anything on the housing at Ft Lewis, just a bunch of stuff on North Fort Lewis. Any help would be wonderful.

All three of us have that "strange" feeling as if someone is with you, and we've all had things just fall off the wall or move, my toothbrush one day was nowhere to be found, I later found it inbetween the mattresses on my bed. My washing machine (in the basement) will start on its own, and doors upstairs will shut by themselves when we are all downstairs. My 3 yr old son who is completely petrified of the basement unless someone is with him has started talking to the air saying "come on to the basement" and will go down by himself. We have heard that the building we are in was an office building at one point and someone had died here, but we are really having a hard time finding anything on the building.

I am not familiar with the area or the housing at Ft. Lewis, sorry can't help you with that. Interesting things happening though, does sound like you have a visitor there. Young children can see more than we do as most of us have been conditioned while we were growing up that ghosts etc. don't exist. Your son doesn't seem frightened by who he sees so that is good to hear. I'm sure you have tried this but will suggest it just in case - did you do a search at the local library and archives etc?
Maybe some of the others have advise or ideas that will help.

Finding things in an ARMY Library are really hard, they don't like to keep things like that accessable to civilian hands.... I haven't located the libraries close to here, I've only been here a month or so, but I'm looking.

Hi Christi,

I'm not familiar with that area either. Does sound like you have some ghostly activity going on though. I have to agree with Cat, the fact that your son doesn't seem to be afraid of what/who he is seeing is a good sign. So maybe just a friendly ghost that wants to make it's presence known?

Again, not familiar with the area. Have you thought to ask your son who he is talking to? What is his name, etc.? He obviously has no problem with them anymore and maybe he can give you the name in which to go forward with your search.Tana
