I just moved in to a smal 1b/1br cottage in SC.
The big houseon the property is definitley not original. The cottage is much older, without even a flue in the Fire place. Ive been in here a little over a month. In the last week strange stuff has been noted. Papers blown to an area that i'd never leave them. Flickering oil lamps and going out on their own when they're full and wick is up. Things in my cupboard in the wrong place and occassionaly a wierd woodsy odor. Are these signs of an actice home?

Well, I can say that what you describe can be attributed to spirit activity, but it doesn't necessarily mean it *is* spirit activity. You'd need to rule out all logical explanations first. For instance... could there have been something logical that blew the papers around and blew the oil lamp out? A draft you're not familiar with yet (having just moved in)?
I suggest you start keeping a log of what happens, with time/date and any details. This can help you find a pattern, if there is one. You might also approach the owners to find out more about the cottage's history. You can ask without mentioning the strange happenings.... unless they ask you point blank if you're having odd experiences.![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)
