When I was 13, my Mom, Grandmother and I moved into a 50 year old house. Right away, things started happening. In November of 1996 my grandmother died and when Christmas rolled around we were unable to find a present my Grandmother had bought for her brother, we were almost positive the present was somewhere in the house. One morning, my Mom was in the kitchen cooking and heard footsteps coming from the back hallway and then into the den. She assumed it was me and went on cooking. A while later, she walked into the den and found the present. She woke me up and asked where I had found it, I told her I had no idea what she was talking about. After that, we heard footsteps, doors closing, sometimes voices
every so often. A couple of years after we had moved in, my Mom told me that she had been awaken in the middle of the night by a white figure. However, she could not see the face. Our cat was in the room with her and hissed, jumped down and ran under the bed. There have been other times where one of our cats or dogs has hissed, or barked at nothing. My dog dug up a skull (it looked human but I'm not sure) and then it later dissapeared before we could figure out what to do with it) When I was 16, my mom died and I went to live with a cousin for a year and then in a dorm for college. When I was 18, my fiance and I moved back into the house and again things started to happen like the had before. One night, we heard really loud banging in the back hallway and footsteps (really loud footsteps, sounded as if someone with heavy boots was walking). My cat walked back into the hallway and started whining, crying and then ran back through the house. I have never heard a cat or any animal cry like this before.

I'm 20 yrs old now and just bought another house near Charlotte, NC. (I'm finishing school up there). Soon I will be putting this house up for sale.

A few nights ago, my fiance and I found an Ouija board that we had bought a couple of years ago. So we decided to have a session for fun I guess. We used it to find out who is haunting our house. We found out that the ghost or one of the ghosts was executed for treason and buried where our house is built in 1758. We found out her name, DOB, death date, husband's name, that her husband commited suicide exactly 6 months after her execution, where and when she was born. This kind of freaks me out and it's still hard to believe that we contacted a spirit. We are going to the SC history and archives in Columbia next week to research it.

Be careful with Ouija boards, they can be very deceiving and sometimes things can turn out nasty.

Hi Kat!

I have to agree with Christi here...do be careful with using a Ouija Board. In fact I would probably recommend not using one again. I myself have used one twice and had nothing bad happen. (Weird yes...but bad no) But from what I've heard they definitely can be very deceiving. It sounds like you already have enough going on in that house...you don't want to accidently invite something else to join what/who is already there.

Sounds like a good plan going to the SC History & Archives to do some research. It would be interesting to see if you pull up any info on the spirit that you contacted. Definitely let us know what you do find and if you experience anything else in the house. =)

Thanks Trinity and Christi. I don't think I will be using the Ouija board for a while, we had a couple of strange/scary things happen last night.

Anyway, tonight we took some photos (we asked the spirit or spirits to get in front of the camera. I read about that somewhere here) so how do I post them? Or I can email them to anyone who wants to see them.
