My husband & I bought our house 3 years ago. In the past year I have experienced alot of ghostly activity. When I go to sleep at night I feel someone patting me on the leg, I am always hearing noises on my steps, the dog is always growling or whimpering at nothing. It seems like whenever we do something to the house it starts all over again. I usually get a very comforting or sometimes sad feeling when it or they are around. I am not scared because it seems very friendly but likes to play pranks. The problem is that we were talking about doing a major change to our house and that night I felt a very angry feeling in my house. I am confused if I should do this change or not. I don't know how many are here because the husband & wife who originally owned the house died here, their daughter was killed when she was only 17, their son died the day we were suppose to buy the house from him,5 people were killed in a car accident in the front yard years ago. They hit the tree out front. We have cut this tree down & thats when things really picked up.Also, a man walking was hit by a car in front of my house so it is hard to say who it is or how many. Any advice if I should remodel would greatly help.

Yikes! That house has certainly seen its share of tragedy. Remodeling can stir up spirit activity. I would look at the house blessing that is posted in this section and give it a try. Don't let the house control you and inhibit your desire to remodel and make it your own home. I think doing a blessing would certainly be in order given all of the tragedy those walls have seen throughout the years. Best of luck and keep us informed!

Sounds to me like they like your family and are conveying that, but do not want their house changed. Like Carrie said, bless the house, but also tell them how much you like the house. My Grandmother would show up and make her presence known when her house was in the process of being sold. It was like, no changes! [Shock]

Wow there has been alot of tragedy around this house, would be interesting to know the land history and if tragic events have always been drawn to this area. I agree with Carrie that remodelling can stir up more activity. When we did remodelling in this home and the previous things became more active but we did not let that stop us. As Carrie has said don't let the house control you. Also agree with Tybee Girl that the family that lived there is likely conveying some of this.

Do keep us posted. Let me know if you do a house blessing and how it went. I am looking into doing one myself just need to read more on it.
