Hi everyone...A newbie has an "off the wall" question.

How does one find out if one has empathic abilities? It seems I can't go into rooms without "absorbing" the currents in the room. That in itself wouldn't be a problem, but those "vibes" seem to mutate and expand until I feel like I'm gonna explode.

Am I just plain nuts or what?

Hi - no you are not nuts. I can relate with what you are talking about as I have experienced some of that myself. It's like sympathy pains we get when talking with others that are ill etc. I can feel negative energy in a room. I learned a couple little things to do from Tools for life by S.B. that have helped some. Before heading out in to the world I surround myself with white light and mirrors. With the mirrors I picutre them around me with the reflective side out and ask God to reflect away all that is negative and only let good in. I have read that putting a piece of sponge in your pocket can help as it is absorbs energy. Have not tried that so not sure if it is true but hey anything is worth a try to help stop what you are feeling. I know others will have some good advice for you that can help.

Good luck
Cat =)

That sounds great, Cat. I've never heard of a sponge, but since I know pouring all your anger into a black rock and "rinsing" it out under running water works, I don't see why a sponge wouldn't. Think I'll try that.

The doctor put me on meds thinking I was highly bi-polar. He said if I didn't go on meds I'd wind up hurting my self or others. Personally I'm just not the hurting type. But I'll admit-right up front-that this emapthic stuff is extremely dangerous for me. I even get these "attacks" in the grocery store. Strange. Oh well, I'm gonna try that sponge idea and see if that works. Thanks Cat.
