I had three experiences about six yrs. ago, over a four day period. I had never heard of "Sleep Paralysis" back then;not until recently.
I had just gone to bed, was lying on my right side, still awake thinking over the days'events.
I felt something jump up on the bed behind me ,I thought it was one of my cats...in a few secs. something touched me and I couldn't move, or speak!. I was frozen with fear . I could hear the T.v. in the next room, the people talking, but couldn't call for help! Something was holding on to me . It was as long as my body. I tried to force myself to speak and move but could not. I was desperate I felt that this was an evil thing that I was in danger for my life. I began to pray in my mind, over and over, God help me ! Whatever it was let go when I prayed. Needless to say I got out of that room!

Yikes Sweden, sounds like a frightening experience you had there. Glad to hear it hasn't happened again for you. Picturing a white light surrounding you with prayer can sure be helpful at times like that. You know no matter how much we can read up on the subject of sleep paralysis and like experiences it just doesn't quite seem to give that settled feeling of fully understanding it. Perhaps that's because there are varied explanations on it.

Wonder if we can ever get an explanation for these experiences. I had an experience, in the dreamtime...feelings of which I brought back into the physical, where there were 2 men standing at my back door with guns,,loaded and ready to fire. Needless to say...I had fear =(
I had a sense of not having anywhere to hide and nothing to protect me. Yes, prayer works, and sage works, and crystals can sometimes work. For me, I try to find my center...and come from that place that is truly ME, what some refer to as the Soul. From that place of 'eternity' I get a sense of strength and truth.
