Most of the ghost photos I have seen over the years are refracted light in the lenze, a mistake in the film, such as processing, or something that I can fake myself, be it in my own photo editor or with other camera tricks.

I love looking at ghost photos, but like the man who has a friend for a magician, because he knows all the tricks it takes all the fun out of the show.

And that is sad too... for sometimes there are actual unknown phenominon photograghed and the photographer is lumped in with all the fakers ... and skepticism is increased. I would love to see a skeptic see something they could not explain away ... and see how they feel when everyone discounts it. As for most fakes you can see it right away... as the time and effort does not go into it enough to make it fool proof. Even mistakes in Hollywood high budget movies are much too easy to spot. All we have to go on is the word of the person who took the pic, then we ask ourseles do we believe it or not. Sometimes the pic does not match up with the story... so we have some skepticism there. Then we look at things that seem too good to be true... like on another famous ghost study site... that has as one of its monthly photo pics ... a "ghostly set of legs" strolling through the Willard Library. These are the self proclaimed experts.... LOL I zoomed in on the pic ... all it is .. is someone bending over at the hip... looking in the bottom drawer of a filing cabinet.
The amazing becomes not so amazing. People jump too quickly sometimes... close inspection before judgement is always the best method.
