OK, tell me if Im strange: (sure I am but)

I LOVE a good ghost story, love grave yards at night, but never have I found myself spooked when in a grave yard, even at night.

I'm missing out on all the fun, arnt I?

Aw, I don't know Dworf. I've always found graveyards rather comforting, even at night. I'm much more fearful of the living than the dead. When you go into a cemetary at night, ALWAYS make sure there isn't some oddball up to no good lurking around in there. Daylight hours too for that matter.
Funny story: Back when I was single, my sister was doing some genealogy research and took my parents and I to a graveyard where some distant relative was buried. Another family was there, cleaning off the grave of a loved one. A 20-something fellow was with them, his mother and grandmother, and took an interest in me when we drove up. He was pretty good-looking, so I was thinking, hmmmm....
Then, he opened his mouth. Weird, weird, weird! He tried to engage me in a conversation regarding the decomposition of corpses. Pretty much grossed me out, and I decided to exit -- quickly!!
My family and his continue their own conversation, during which Mr. Weirdo asks for my phone number. Which my sister promptly and enthusiastically gives to him. I couldn't answer my phone for a week.
So, Dworf, I can truthfully say, that was the only time I've ever been spooked in a graveyard, and it was broad daylight. Ghosts don't scare me, people do!LOL

First let me say I'm laughing my booty off at that story Carrie...glad to hear I'm not the only one with a freak magnet. [Nutty] As for being strange for not getting spooked, well, I'm not sure that's all that strange. I'm a big weinie but I know lots of people who don't bat an eye when I'm cringing in fear. I'm not a big fan of the dark so being in a graveyard at night would probably be more than I could handle, however I don't think it's overly odd that it doesn't scare you all that much. As for missing all the fun, well you can still get the pleasure of watching your freaked out buddies act like big babies [Wink]

Carrie that is too funny! Of all places huh?

Graveyards at night spook me, but it isn't really the graveyard itself it's more the fact that you never know who is lurking around. I had taken my nephew to a few graveyards to try to capture some ghostly photos when he was about 17 (he's 19 now) and I was never nervous about being there...just nervous about not knowing who might pop up. All kinds of weird people in this world and I wouldn't want to run into one there. Although it has never happened to me, but as Carrie has proven...it definitely can [Laughing] [Wink]

I definitely don't think your strange Dworf...a lot of people feel safer in Cemeteries then anywhere else.
