It has been my experience that a spiritual/energetic entity cannot directly inflict physical harm upon a person. However, I have heard things to the contrary from numerous (but less-than-professional) sources. Because I am taking a trip to Graveyard X in less than a week, I would like to know what everyone's personal experiences have lead them to believe in this regard so that I might better know what to expect (and what to look out for). Thank you much.

I'm of the opinion that while spiritual energy cannot directly inflict physical harm upon a person, it can manifest itself in negative ways.
I've been in situations in which I felt nauseated, a slight suffocating feeling, or had the sensation someone was pushing me. (Most of this took place during a visit to the Tower of London). I flew all the way from Texas to see it, but boy, did I want outta there fast!
I was not harmed by the experience, even though it was a memorable one. I think one thing that helped was that I recognized what was going on and was very aware so I was able to mentally "fight back."
Of course, there are also stories of people being "possessed" by negative spiritual energy, scratched by unseen hands, etc...I don't pretend to know much about the subject, because I've never experienced it personally. However, I would think that saying prayers, having a protective ceremony, whatever you feel the most comfortable with, would be a good way to ward off negative spiritual energy. Good luck with your investigation and let us know how it turns out!
