Savannah great pics. I visited Gettysburg about 5 times as a child, my father was a big civil war buff, but have yet to go back as a adult. The eyeball orb was really amazing but I see a whole face not just a eyeball. It looks like a child or a very young person to me. Thanks for sharing .

Thank you, I enjoyed your pics very much too. I call that an eyeball orb for lack of a better description. The story behind that orb... we were in the triangular field, and had been there about 45 mins snapping pics in the dark. My friend and I suddenly heard footsteps approaching, and it was more than one. For some reason, I really got the creeps, so I took at pic in that direction and left quickly. It's the little orb to the left side of the rock. Then the little booger showed up in my next 3 or 4 pics. It's at the bottom of the Irish Brigade pic (which is right up the hill from the field, and in 3 more pics I have.) Nothing bothered me the entire time I was there, but that one. I didn't realize until I got the pics uploaded that it had been following me. Was really cool though.

Great pics there Savannah! You got a lot of orbs too. I see a face in the "eyeball" orb as well. I don't know if faces in orbs are really faces or if they're just a random pattern that happens to look like a face.

When you heard the footsteps, did you see anyone approaching? Sounds like a cool place to visit. Maybe someday after I win the lottery! =P

At first when I heard it, I thought, nahhhh... it's a deer or something. Then I turned to my friend and said, "you hear that?" It was obvious that it was "human" type footsteps, walking in unison, maybe 2 or 3 people. We didn't see anything or anyone. Just an overwhelming feeling that if I stood there much longer they would march right through me. So I did the "snap snap" with the cam in that direction and ran...(in the opposite direction.) It's rare that I get the creeps, but for some reason I did then. My friend teased me later saying it was because I had been singing, "Dixie," and the yanks were after us.

WOW! :banana: These are by far the best orb photos I have ever seen. I love the stripes on the soldier orbs. Finally orbs that look like more than just dust! Great job!

Thank you, I got lucky that night. I researched civil war uniforms and the stripe looks very much like from the strap of a haversack or canteen or possibly both.

Those are awesome pics!! I am going to Gettysburg in Aug. and if I get any photos near as good as yours are I will definatly be sharing them with you. We are stayibg at Farnsworth House for 2 nights. I am certain Gettysburg will be a very moving experience for us, even if we dont "see" any ghosts.
