Hi,
New here, been lurking a little.

U may have read the post from my friend Sean about "Casper",
(our friendly, but a little mischevious) ghost.
I'm Sean's girlfriends roomate.

Anyway - there's a little more going on than what he wrote about.
Nothing harmful, Nothing I'm afraid of.
So far we've had no problem co-existing with "Casper" (Whatever it is)

I'm not trying to get rid of him.
I'm just trying to learn more about paranormal activity and have started doing some research.

I realize that what u find on the internet isn't always from very credible sources and was wondering if any of u knew of any books or authors that are worth looking into.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks
-Maz

There is a lot of books out there. I have read a few but have opted to stick with some of the same authors. One of the better ones I enjoyed was Visits from the Afterlife - truth about hauntings, ghosts and spirits by Sylvia Browne. Have enjoyed some of James Van praagh (but his are more in talking with those on the otherside). Some material by Edgar Cayce or the Warrens that I have read have been informative. I suppose it really depends if you are looking for specific info, as some authors seem to specialize so to speak on certain things within the paranormal, or general to the subject.

Your best bet is hit a good book store that allows you to sit and view or flip through a book awhile and read bits from various chapters to see if it is the type of info you are looking for. Checking out the back pages/cover of the book that tells you more about the author and lists other books they have written is also helpful. I agree though on the net comment, the web is loaded and it can take quite some time to find good material and when you do it usualy gives you only a little info directing you to a list of books for purchase to learn more. Although that can be another source to look at. Go to the sites of well-known ghost hunters, mediums, psychics etc. as they often list other authors they recommend as good reading material. The Coast to Coast site always provides links to the sites of guests they have had on (which have included paranormal)so you may want to have a look there as well.
Good luck =)

Thanks,
I actually purchased that exact Sylvia Brown book over the weekend, at random, from Amazon.com - who knows maybe Casper helped out. A friend also reccommennded James Van Praaagh. I'll look into the other authors and thanks for the web surfing tips.
